Resting Kohli and Bumrah for West Indies T20Is-Newzdaddy

For the five T20 International matches against West Indies, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested. For the T20Is, which get underway on July 29 in Trinidad, the BCCI picked an 18-man roster.
Kohli is thought to have begged for relaxation during the series, Rohit Sharma will serve as the team’s captain, and, pending fitness approval, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav may make a comeback. Both had lately been disabled by injuries and were in the rehabilitation stage.
Offspinner R Ashwin has been re-inducted into the T20I squad as well, as India is eager to explore all options before the World Cup later in the year. In the T20I World Cup last year, Ashwin made a comeback from a lengthy absence from the white ball group, but since then, he has not been a regular fixture in the team, with injuries also contributing to his withdrawal.
