Jay Thadeshwar Hoisted the Flag as RSS Speakers Spoke About Freedom and Vande Mataram.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Gujarat Prant, held a flag-hoisting ceremony and Bharat Mata Pujan at Dr Hedgewar Bhavan, the Gujarat Prant office in Karnavati, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. The flag was hoisted by well-known podcaster and entrepreneur Jaybhai Thadeshwar.

The main speaker at the programme, Shri Jashubhai Chaudhary, Prant Intellectual Head of RSS Gujarat Prant, said that 150 years have passed since the birth of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a key role in keeping the India we see today united. He remembered and paid tribute to Sardar Patel.

He said that Bankim Babu wrote Vande Mataram in 1875. Vande Mataram presented India as a living entity. It has also been 150 years since Vande Mataram was written. Vande Mataram became a powerful slogan among the revolutionaries. Today, the entire country will sing Vande Mataram with one voice. Naturally, this is a moment of happiness.

Shri Jashubhai remembered the well-known and unknown heroes who fought and gave their lives for India’s freedom. He said that today we are free, but are we truly independent? True independence should include the ideas of Swadharma, Swadeshi and Swarajya.

Speaking on the occasion, programme chairman Jaybhai Thadeshwar said that freedom was achieved through the sacrifices of the revolutionaries. They worked for every form of freedom. He said that we must work to protect our freedom of thought. He added, “If someone asks what a true patriot is like today, I would say, meet an RSS volunteer.”

He said that thinking for yourself, rather than thinking according to social media algorithms, is true freedom. Attempts are being made on the internet to hack our opinions. Social media is showing content filled with hate, anger, violence, vulgarity and anti-national views in an attempt to change our social and cultural identity.

On this occasion, Shri Maheshbhai Parikh, Mahanagar Sanghchalak, Karnavati Mahanagar; Shri Tejasbhai Patel, Prachar Pramukh, Gujarat Prant; Shri Hardikbhai Parikh, Karyavah, Karnavati Mahanagar; along with a large number of volunteers and citizens, took part in the flag-hoisting ceremony and Bharat Mata Pujan.
