A Marathon with Purpose
On January 7th, 2024, Geeta Phogat, the renowned wrestler, kickstarted the 5th edition of the Ekal Run in Kolkata. The marathon, organized by FTS Yuva, the youth wing of Friends of Tribals Society, witnessed over 5000 enthusiastic participants of all age groups running for various categories, ranging from 21km to a 3km non-timed fun run.
Diverse Participation
The event, held at Godrej Waterside, brought together people from different walks of life. Notable personalities such as actors Neel Bhattacharya and Rahul Dev Bose, actress Debadrita Basu, director Soumojeet Adak, A K Arya (DIG BSF), and Surjeet Singh Guleria (Dy. Inspector General, BSF) graced the occasion.
