Shivalik Platinum Navratri Celebration Adds Cultural Magic to Ahmedabad Nights
The newly built prestigious ‘Shivalik Platinum’ Society in the Bodakdev area of Ahmedabad turned into a vibrant hub of celebration as residents came together to mark the nine days of Navratri with unmatched enthusiasm, devotion, and community spirit.

Each evening saw families and friends gathering in the beautifully adorned society premises to revel in the traditional Garba dances. The beats of the traditional music, the twirl of the chaniya cholis, and the sparkle of festive decorations created an atmosphere of joy and cultural pride.
What made the celebrations extra special this year was the unique initiative taken by the members, especially women of the society.
To symbolise unity and harmony, the ladies dressed in coordinated colours that corresponded with the traditional Navratri theme for each day. From vibrant reds and yellows to soothing whites and elegant blues, the spectrum of hues reflected not only the festive traditions but also the message of solidarity among residents.

Beyond the dance and music, the nine-day festival was also a showcase of flavours. A variety of traditional Gujarati snacks and festive fusion delights added to the community bonding experience. Laughter and lively conversations echoed as children enjoyed fun activities and elders mingled, cherishing the warmth of togetherness.
Society chairman Mr Kulinbhai Vasavada shared that such initiatives strengthen neighbourhood bonds and help preserve cultural values in an urban lifestyle.
