This is not just an ordinary concert. It is a massive musical event that mixes traditional Indian devotional songs with modern Western music. This unique mix is called an Indo-Western symphony. More than 40 live musicians will stand on the stage together to play their instruments at the same time.
A Mix of Two States
Shyam – The Krishna Concert is also a wonderful friendship between the folk music of two different states: Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Many talented musicians are travelling all the way from Rajasthan to perform in this show. By mixing the beautiful desert songs of Rajasthan with the fun rhythms of Gujarat, the artists are creating a brand-new sound. When you add the big 40-piece orchestra to these traditional instruments, it becomes a musical celebration that anyone can enjoy.

The main singers will make the evening very special. One of them is Shri Praful Dave. He is a famous folk singer in Gujarat. He has been singing for more than 30 years, and millions of people love his voice. He has sung many hit songs for Gujarati films, as well as prayers called bhajans and traditional dance songs called garbas. His music helps people feel calm and spiritual.
His son, Hardik Dave, is also performing. Hardik is a popular modern singer, music director, and songwriter. He learned to love music from his talented family. He has created many famous digital songs, including a well-known track called ‘Khamma Veera Ne’. At this concert, the father’s classic folk style and the son’s modern musical skills will join together. This will create a brand-new type of sound for the audience.
The concert is designed to feel like a spiritual journey that awakens all five senses. The special theme for the night is ‘Shyam’.
The show will look at the different sides of life through music. On one hand, the audience will hear the deep, quiet sound of a simple, single-stringed Indian instrument called the ‘Iktara’.
During the event, people will feel two different kinds of emotions:
-
Energy and Dance: The lively rhythm of ‘Raas’ will bring joy and movement to the crowd.
-
Peace and Quiet: The gentle melodies of ‘Dhyan’ will help everyone feel relaxed and thoughtful.
The creators want the audience to do more than just sit and watch. They want everyone to feel the music, breathe together, and become a part of this grand celebration of Lord Krishna’s life.
The production team has structured Shyam – The Krishna Concert with a dynamic, two-tier presentation that beautifully honours different styles of traditional Indian worship:
-
The Seated Dayro Segment: To preserve the true soul of Gujarati folk music, several classic devotional songs and bhajans will be performed in a traditional seated arrangement. This closely mirrors the intimate, spiritual atmosphere of an authentic Dayro or folk gathering.
-
The Energetic Raas & Dance Segment: For the more rhythmic Krishna songs, the artists will perform standing up to bring the vibrant energy of Raas and dance to the stage. This is not a Western-style rock concert; instead, the standing format is used to celebrate the joyful, movement-based traditions of Krishna devotion, backed beautifully by the live symphony.
This thoughtful combination allows listeners to experience both the deep, meditative warmth of classic spiritual gatherings and the lively, celebratory joy of traditional dance.
