Singham, played by Ajay Devgn, appears to be making a reappearance in Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe. The director confirmed the release date for the third installment of the Singham franchise.
Shetty told that Singham Returns was one of his favorite films and that he was looking forward to working with Devgn again. The director stated that the next installment in the Singham franchise would begin filming in April of next year, following the release of Cirkus.
With the upcoming film, Shetty stated that he wants to achieve something enormous. When asked about the last Singham picture, which was released in 2014, the filmmaker noted that the ‘canvas’ has become larger over time. “Singham 3 will be a major project, and all of our forces are currently working on it,” he stated. Netflix and Amazon Prime Video both have Singham available to watch. Singham Returns is currently available to watch on Disney+Hotstar.
Shetty is now filming Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 in Cape Town, South Africa. The filmmaker discussed the ‘overlap’ in his projects at the time and stated that he would not take on new projects until his current projects were completed.
Cirkus, starring Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde, and Jacqueline Fernandez, will hit theatres on December 23. Shetty is also working on his first online series, Indian Police Force, for Amazon Prime Video. Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi appear in the series.
Meanwhile, on July 2, Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 will launch. Colors TV and Voot both have the series available to watch.
