Being a remake of a hugely successful Tamil film and starring two well-known and talented Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, Vikram Vedha has been in discussion for a Bollywood adaptation ever since it was first announced. It is sufficient to say that Vikram Vedha is unquestionably one of the upcoming Bollywood films that audiences are most looking forward to. You’re going to be quite disappointed by what you’re about to read if you’re one of the people who is excitedly anticipating the movie.

The budget for Vikram Vedha increases.

The writer and director team Pushkar-Gayathri were eager to finish the picture on a little budget, considerably smaller than what a Hrithik Roshan movie typically costs, according to an industry insider who spoke exclusively to BollywoodLife. This is similar to how the original Vikram Vedha was made. But it appears that Hrithik had other plans, which would eventually harm the movie’s chances of being a commercial success.

Hrithik Roshan refuses to film in Uttar Pradesh and requests sets in Dubai

In order to keep the same gritty looks and feel, the same source continued, Pushkar and Gayathri were eager to shoot the film in the run-down alleyways of Uttar Pradesh, just like they had done in Tamil Nadu with the Kollywood Vikram Vedha. However, it appears that Hrithik Roshan outright rejected this method of shooting and instead persuaded the writers, directors, and producers to construct opulent sets in Dubai to replicate the same alleys in Uttar Pradesh, which immediately doubled the movie’s budget.

The most expensive movie for Hrithik Roshan is now Vikram Vedha.

The most recent information we have comes from reports from sources other than our own, and it states that Vikram Vedha’s budget has increased to the point where it is now Hrithik Roshan’s most expensive movie to date. According to a report in KoiMoi, the budget for Vikram Vedha has reportedly increased to an astounding $175 crore. In contrast, the Tamil version is said to have cost just $11 crore and was a smash hit, earning about $60 crore at the box office. This raises the question of why such a large sum of money is being spent on a crime movie. In contrast, both the large-scale historical and action films Mohenjo Daro and War cost less money; the latter was said to be his previous most expensive film at 155 crores, and it went on to become a hit, although we all know what happened to the former.

In addition to Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf, and Sharib Hashmi also appear in Vikram Vedha.
