Finally, the wait is over! The trailer for Akshay Kumar and Manushil Chillar’s forthcoming film Prithviraj has been released. The film is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj Bhasha epic poem on the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, and is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films.
Akshay Kumar commented on his social media platforms after sharing the trailer, “Our veerta ki Amar Kahani is Shaurya. The film Ye hai kahaani Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Ki (Prithviraj Chauhan’s narrative) was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. On June 3rd, exclusively at a theatre near you, celebrate Samrat #Prithviraj Chauhan with #YRF50.”
While Akshay Kumar plays the title role, Manushi will play Prithviraj Chauhan’s wife Sanyogita in the film, which is her first.
The trailer shows Prithviraj Chauhan as Delhi’s ruler, larger-than-life war sequences, Prithviraj’s love for Sanyogita, heavy-duty discussions, and the invasion of Delhi by Sultan Mohammed Ghori.
