The West Indies come in Ahmedabad for India skipper Rohit Sharma’s first ODI series.

A video of the players landing at the Ahmedabad airport was also shared by Windies Cricket. Due to the present COVID-19 issue, the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA), which will host the three ODIs, has already indicated that the matches will be played behind closed doors.

The visiting West Indies team arrived in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (February 2) morning on a high after defeating England in a T20I rubber. They will play India in a short overs series. Beginning Sunday (February 6), the ‘Men in Maroon’ will play three ODIs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, followed by three T20 Internationals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

On Wednesday morning, Windies Cricket, the official Twitter account of Cricket West Indies, tweeted, “After a hard two days of the journey from Barbados, the Men In Maroon have arrived in India!”
