TYCA Initiative: A Bold Step in Leadership Transformation

Newz Daddy Business Updates

The I CAN I WILL Foundation and Unlimited Unnati (founded by business coach Shyam Taneja) have launched a new initiative called TYCA – Transform Yourself, Create Abundance. The launch event took place on 13 November at Unlimited Unnati’s premises in Ahmedabad. The event marked the start of a year-long journey for a select group of leaders.

The I CAN I WILL Foundation has a clear mission — Build India by helping the MSME sector perform competitively and efficiently. The Foundation works towards enhancing the performance of business owners and their teams by instilling an international level of competitiveness. As Mr Taneja explains, “By helping Indian entrepreneurs perform better, we aim to make India a power to reckon with.”

Research shows that many micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India struggle with leadership, processes and global competitiveness. The Foundation’s focus ties directly into the national push for MSME growth and professionalisation. For example, enabling entrepreneurs to think of systems and leadership helps bridge the gap between local enterprise and global best practice.

The new initiative, TYCA, has been designed to help participants work on these areas through a structured process of self-improvement. It focuses on developing leadership qualities through deep introspection, powerful questioning, empathetic listening, and profound thinking.

Modern leadership thinking emphasises these soft skills. Empathetic listening is key to leading teams well; deep introspection helps leaders to question assumptions; powerful questioning drives clarity. Programmes aimed at leadership transformation often include these elements to boost personal and team performance.

The first TYCA group includes 12-13 dynamic leaders from diverse organisations, who will embark on a year-long journey of growth and transformation. Through this process, participants will engage in thought-provoking discussions that shift perceptions, spark awareness, and inspire meaningful action. Small cohort programmes like this are effective because they allow deep work, peer support and follow-through over time. Leadership transformation is rarely a quick fix; the year-long format supports sustained change and accountability.

“TYCA is not just a forum; it’s a journey of self-discovery and collective growth,” says Mr Shyam Taneja. “When we transform ourselves, we create abundance not just for us but for everyone around us.” The idea that personal transformation has ripple-effects out into teams and organisations reflects current approaches in organisational development. Leaders who grow personally are more likely to build environments where others can grow too.
Promoted by Unlimited Unnati (P) Ltd, which has been offering Business and Life Coaching since 1995, the Foundation operates through three verticals, focusing on entrepreneurs, their teams, and their children.

Unlimited Unnati’s track record shows they have helped thousands of individuals and organisations over decades. Their business-and-life coaching model emphasises both personal growth and business growth, which aligns well with the ambitious goal of the Foundation.  During the COVID period, the Foundation stayed true to its mission of “Build India” by conducting digital sessions for three years, completely free of charge, sharing knowledge and guidance generously. Over the years, it has successfully coached thousands of individuals, helping them improve both their quality of life and business growth.

The pandemic forced many organisations into digital delivery. The fact that this foundation delivered free coaching shows commitment to mission rather than profit alone. Research on learning retention shows that continuing support and digital access help maintain momentum in leadership growth.

Drawing from over three decades of experience, the Foundation has identified three major challenges faced by most MSME owners that affect both their business and personal lives: Quality of Questions, Quality of Listening,
These three challenges reflect core leadership issues: asking meaningful questions (versus superficial ones), listening to feedback and others (versus simply talking), and thinking deeply (versus staying on the surface). Leadership specialists note that when these areas improve, teams become more responsive, adaptive and engaged.
