In a bustling town hall in Kalol, Gujarat, Aarihant Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Institute recently played host to a national-level workshop that delved deep into the realm of pain management. With a focus on ancient Ayurvedic practices, the workshop titled ‘Approach to Pain Management – Exploring Agnikarma and Viddhakarma’ drew in a diverse crowd of eager participants from across the country.

Keynote Speaker Dr. Shubhangi Badole

Leading the discourse was Dr. Shubhangi Badole, a distinguished Professor from the Department of Surgery at Dr. DG Paul Foundation’s YMT Ayurvedic Medical College and PG Institute in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. With years of experience in Ayurvedic medicine, Dr. Badole brought invaluable insights to the forefront of the discussion.

The Significance of Agnikarma and Viddhakarma

At the heart of the workshop were two ancient therapeutic techniques – Agnikarma and Viddhakarma. Dr. Shubhangi elucidated these unique approaches, offering a live demonstration to the intrigued audience. Agnikarma, involving the application of heat with a Gold Stick, emerged as a scientifically backed method for pain management in Ayurveda.
