“Vash – Level 2” Movie Review

“Vash – Level 2” After Twelve Years of Peace, Atharva Learns The Evil Haunting Arya Has Returned.

I had already watched the first part of Vash, which was in the Gujarati language and later, a remake was made in Hindi with the name “Shaitan” by Ajay Devgn, and I watched that too. Both movies were excellent, and particularly the performance of Janki Bodiwala.

Now, today I watched Vash – Level 2, which has been released Pan India in both versions, Gujarati and Hindi, with the title Vash Vivash. And let me tell you, the Hindi dubbing is just amazing. I wish they had also released the first part in Hindi. Anyway, let’s talk about this movie.

Vash Level 2, just like Vash Part 1, is a supernatural psychological horror thriller movie based on black magic. This time, the story is about someone who has controlled an entire girls’ school. But here’s the twist — the main villain in the first part, Pratap, was captured by the father of Aarya. Moreover, his tongue was also cut, and so he cannot even speak.

In the trailer, nothing was shown about this new villain, which made the movie more interesting. You actually see the villain’s face for the first time only during the interval. And trust me, you will be shocked to see him! Who is he? Why does he want Pratap? What is his motive? And how much terror will he spread if he does not get Pratap? You will know all this only in the movie.

In the first part, the villain controlled only one girl and still created so much terror. But in this second part, the terror is 10 times, maybe even 20 times bigger. The brutality has increased a lot, especially in the first half. That’s why the movie is rated “A” (adults only). So children should not watch it.

If you have watched part one, great. If not, don’t worry, the makers have added a short recap at the start of the second part, i.e. Vash – Level 2.

The best thing about this movie is its intense horror drama. The story grips you so much that the first half just flies by without you realising it. The movie is also short, less than 2 hours, with no songs and no unnecessary time passing.

The second half goes towards the conclusion, and the climax is good. Not the greatest, but still decent. I was expecting something more hardcore after such a strong first half. Towards the end, it becomes a little predictable.

But hats off to all the actors. Everyone has acted so well that I don’t even have enough words to praise them. When such strong concept movies are made without a commercial background, you understand how powerful the original story is.

A big salute to Janaki Bodhi and Hiten Kumar, the main Villain. Even though Janki has not had much screen time in the second part, she has been fantastic. You must have seen her screaming scene in the trailer. That scene — wow! No dialogue, just pure emotion. Simply great-level acting.

The background music (BGM) is also very powerful and makes every scene even more intense.

Don’t get surprised if you see makers making the third part of this, Vash – Level 3.

Thanks to the Hindi dubbing, now everyone in India can watch it. Go for it!

Family-Friendly?

You can even watch it with family because there is no nudity, vulgarity or abusive language. Just keep kids away because it’s too scary for them.

Final Verdict:

Vash – Level 2 may not offer masala, but it packages emotions, heartbreak, and terror, and it will definitely hook you throughout. If you liked Vash and Shaitan, this movie is definitely for you.
