Virat Kohli: The talking point of the Asia Cup

Everyone who watches cricket across the globe knows Virat Kohli, called King Kohli.  If he does not know who Virat Kohli is then he does not know what the game of cricket is.

In Hindi “Virat” means “Big.” so the name itself is big and so the stature of this prolific player.

He is also known as a run-making machine.  However, since last year this machine has got some rust and its rainy season so rust may happen.

Virat is only due for some runs, he has not lost his class.  He has not scored many runs recently and has got out in a similar fashion.  Having said that luck is also not favouring him and he got out in an unusual manner showing that his luck is not with him.

We always say that the past is history and history does not repeat most of the time in cricket.

Asia cup is on the door and India believes that its run-making machine is ready to produce runs and that too in abundance.

Let’s look at Virat’s Records

These records are proof of a great player.  The most matter in the T20 format is the strike rate, and the strike rate of Virat is excellent.

Virat is only due for a century in the T20 format, which is going to come in the Asia cup, what goes wrong in hoping?

The Mental Battle:

In every player’s career, there is a lean patch and a peak patch.  We all are observing the lean patch of Virat. When a player is in his peak purple patch, everything goes in his favour, the situation, the fans, the body, his family, critics, and even luck. The most favouring and praising man would be himself.  During this peak purple patch, the player talks with himself and praises himself whenever he can.

The same player when in his lean patch everything goes against him.  The player in this situation fights with everyone and the most dangerous fit is always with himself. The player who wins his own internal battle can easily win the external.

The inside noise is always greater than the outside one.

When a player is down and under the shadow, his own teammates may glare at him and this is real and human nature even though one deny, it will be there.

A good sportsmen always come back and win for themselves and for their country and hence they are called good sportsmen.  Virat is not a good sportsman, he is a great sportsman and he is about to come back good and hard.

Pakistan Captain Barbar Azam is an admirer of Virat. He has even twitted in favour of Virat, motivating Virat through his tweet.

Both these greats met each other and shake hands during the practice session in Dubai. This is what makes fans happy of both teams and this is true sportsmanship.

When a captain of the opposite team shakes his hand with a player and that too from your arch rival team, it gives immense pleasure.  These are very small things but it does wonders in a player’s mind bringing great positivity and cheerfulness and that can lead to success.

The Anxiousness

Indian fans are waiting eagerly to watch the match between India and Pakistan but believe me, they are more eager to watch their machine (Virat) start producing runs.  They are more anxious to see their star performer and a match winner starts winning the matches for India.

No hard feeling for other Indian players but today we are only talking about Virat.
