when tardy Raaj Kumar yelled at Neel Kamal’s sets because of fake jewellery. – Newzdaddy

One of the titans of Indian cinema, Raaj Kumar, was renowned for both his fierce temper and his unusual acting and dialogue delivery. The late actor was feared on set because of his odd personality and intransigence. He appeared in movies like Mother India, Paighaam, Waqt, and Saudagar. Before going into the movie business, he worked as a sub-inspector with the Bombay Police, thus it’s likely that he continued to maintain his fearsome cop reputation.

For decades, rumours about how challenging Raaj Kumar used to be on set have circulated. On the sets of the 1968 movie Neel Kamal, which also starred Waheeda Rehman and Manoj Kumar, a comparable occurrence occurred. In the movie, Raaj Kumar portrayed a sculptor whose life was reincarnated. Raaj Kumar intended to wear some hefty jewellery in one of the movie’s scenes.

When Raaj Kumar discovered that the prop jewellery that had been ordered for him was phoney, he became furious. He said he wouldn’t shoot if the director Ram Maheshwari didn’t bring actual jewellery for him to wear since he wouldn’t wear the jewellery.

Many others made an effort to convince him, but he continued on being obstinate. Finally, the director and producer gave in to his requests. Filmmaker Panna Lal managed to secure unique jewellery. Real decorations took a while to arrive, and shooting was long-stalled, which resulted in delays and financial losses. Raaj Kumar put on the real jewellery as soon as he acquired it and fired his shot.

The year 1968 saw Neel Kamal become the biggest hit. Aaja Tujhko Pukare Mera Pyar and Babul Ki Duayan Leti Jaa are two very well-known songs.
