Women’s Day Women’s Conference Dakor Sparks Pride and Hope

Women’s Day Women Conference Dakor highlights the strength of women in society

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a felicitation ceremony and women’s conference were organised by the BJP in Dakor, Kheda district. The event honoured women who have achieved success in different fields. BJP State President Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma attended the programme as the chief guest.

International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world on 8 March every year. The day is meant to recognise the social, economic and cultural achievements of women. In India, many organisations use the day to honour women who have made strong contributions in areas such as education, business, farming, public service and social work. Such events also remind society about the need to support women’s rights and equal opportunities.

Women have amazing working power and strong management skills.
– Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma

Across India, women play an important role in both family life and the economy. Many studies show that women often manage homes, finances and work responsibilities at the same time. In recent years, women in India have also moved strongly into business, science, government service and entrepreneurship. Self-help groups run by women are active in many villages and towns. These groups help women learn skills, run small businesses and support each other financially.

A mother is a person who lives for her children without any selfish reason.
– Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma

In Indian society, mothers are often seen as the main support of the family. They guide children, care for the household and help shape values for the next generation. Many education experts say that a mother’s involvement in a child’s learning can greatly improve the child’s success in school and life. Because of this, many government programmes also focus on helping mothers with health care, nutrition and education awareness.

Many schemes are working under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the birth, education and proper nutrition of girls.
– Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma

Over the past decade, several government schemes have focused on improving the lives of girls. One of the well-known campaigns is “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, which encourages families to value daughters and send them to school. Programmes related to health and nutrition also aim to support girls from birth. Many states also provide scholarships and financial support to encourage girls to continue their education. These steps are meant to reduce gender inequality and create more opportunities for young women.

BJP State President Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma strongly criticised the incident in West Bengal where Mamata Banerjee showed disrespect, broke protocol and insulted President Droupadi Murmu.

President Droupadi Murmu became India’s 15th President in 2022. She made history as the first tribal woman to hold the country’s highest constitutional office. Her journey from a small village in Odisha to Rashtrapati Bhavan is often seen as a strong example of determination and public service. Many people view her presidency as a sign of growing representation of women and tribal communities in national leadership.

Those who do not respect women do not take long to face downfall.
– Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma

Respect for women is an important value in Indian culture and is also supported by law. The Indian Constitution guarantees equal rights for men and women. Over time, several laws have been introduced to protect women from discrimination, violence and harassment. Social awareness campaigns also work to change attitudes and promote dignity and safety for women in society.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is constantly working with a firm resolve to make women financially stronger.
– Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma

Financial independence is considered a key step in women’s empowerment. Many government and private programmes now focus on helping women earn their own income. Microfinance schemes, skill training programmes and support for small businesses have allowed many women to start enterprises such as food processing, tailoring, farming and handicrafts. Digital banking and direct benefit transfers have also helped women manage their own finances more easily.

The country’s treasury is in the hands of Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman is an example of women’s excellent management ability.
– Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma

One of the most well-known female leaders in India today is Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. In 2019, she was appointed as the nation’s Finance Minister. She was also India’s Minister of Defence before that. Her management of the national budget and economic policy is regarded as an illustration of how women may assume leadership roles in significant governmental domains.

In honour of International Women’s Day, the BJP State Women’s Wing organised a women’s conference and felicitation event at Punit Hall in Dakor, according to a news release from the Gujarat BJP Media Department. At the ceremony, women who have succeeded in many disciplines were honoured. Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma, the president of the BJP State, was the main guest at the event.

Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma went to the Shri Ranchhodraiji Temple in Dakor before the event. He prayed for everyone’s happiness, health, and bright future.

One of Gujarat’s most significant Krishna temples is the Ranchhodraiji Temple in Dakor. Every year, the shrine receives thousands of devotees. For many years, Dakor has been a popular destination for pilgrims, particularly those who follow Lord Krishna. Public officials’ religious trips frequently emphasise the significance of these locations on a cultural and spiritual level.

Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma began his remarks at the women’s conference by chanting “Jai Ranchhod.” “Yatra Naryastu Pujyante Ramante Tatra Devata,” he remarked, implies that gods reside in places where women are revered and honoured. Indian customs and texts frequently depict women as representations of power, wisdom, and wealth. Power, riches, and wisdom are represented by characters like Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Durga. On this occasion, Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma recognised and valued the achievements of women who have succeeded in many disciplines. Positive role models are highlighted via events honouring female accomplishments. Younger girls are inspired to dream higher and strive toward their goals when women from all backgrounds are acknowledged for their contributions. The importance of women in creating strong communities and a stronger country is further highlighted by this accolade.

State Ministers Shri Ramanbhai Solanki and Shri Sanjaysinh Mahida, BJP State General Secretaries Shri Ajaybhai Brahmbhatt and Shri Hitendrasinh Chauhan, and Kheda District In-charge Shri Rameshbhai Desai attended the event. Smt. Nayanaben Patel, the district BJP president, as well as numerous women and BJP officials, office holders, and local legislators.

Women are becoming more involved in public life and community activities, as seen by the huge number of women who attended the event. India’s future is being shaped by the growing participation of women in leading positions in industry, politics, education, and social organisations.
