Young Yogis Steal the Spotlight at Swarrnim’s Yogotsav 2025

On June 21, 2025, at Central Plaza, SSIU, Gandhinagar, the Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga at Aarihant Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Institute (AAMC&RI), a division of Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, hosted the 11th International Yoga Divas, also known as “Yogotsav 2025.” Between 100 and 150 students, as well as staff members, attended this event.
The visitors and participants performed Deep Pragtya and Dhanvantari Stavan to kick off the program. After that, a yoga class. Dr. Sonali P. Ladhi, a yoga instructor and professor in the Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga at AAMC&RI, led the session. Bhargav Amipara, Purv Sidhdhapura, Shaili Patel, and Nidhi Parmar, a group of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program, demonstrated the technique.
Omkara chanting, relaxation techniques, and poses from the AYUSH Ministry’s Common Yoga Protocol kicked off the program. These included supine positions like Pavanamuktasana and Setubandhasana, standing positions like Tadasana and Vrikshasana, sitting positions like Vajrasana and Shashankasana, and prone positions like Bhujangasana and Makarasana. Additionally, breathing exercises like Bhramari, Anulom-Vilom, and Kapalabhati were done. Omkara chanting marked the end of the session.
As part of the festival, contests for essay writing, painting, and reciting were also held. In the student category of the Essay Competition, Dhyanvi Gandhi placed second, and Jayshree Chaudhry took first place. Dr. Shashikant Bhagat finished in second place, and Dr. Prem Prajapati took first place in the faculty category. Vanshi Parmar won first prize in the students’ category of the Painting Competition, followed by Muskan Tomar and Dhyanvi Gandhi. Vishva Jadav and Anjali Lagaria shared fourth place. Dr. Pooja Kalne took first place among professors, while Dr. Ankita Chavan came in second. Dhruvil & Group took first position in the Reels Competition, followed by Nidhi & Group in second place and Prakash & Group in third.
