A Milestone in ‘Atmanirbharta’ – Adani’s Indigenous Drone Takes Flight

In a significant stride towards self-reliance in defence technology, Adani Defence & Aerospace marked a historic moment by presenting the Indian Navy with the first-ever indigenous Drishti 10 Starliner Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The cutting-edge UAV, boasting advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities, was unveiled in Hyderabad on January 10, 2024.

 Features of Drishti 10 Starliner – A Technological Marvel

Drishti 10 Starliner, manufactured entirely by Adani, is an all-weather military platform designed for intelligence gathering. With an impressive 36-hour endurance and a payload capacity of 450 kg, the UAV is set to enhance India’s maritime surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. Notably, it holds NATO’s STANAG 4671 certification, ensuring airworthiness in both segregated and unsegregated airspace.

Naval Integration – Drishti 10’s Journey to Porbandar

Following the unveiling ceremony in Hyderabad, the UAV is scheduled to be transported to Porbandar for induction into naval maritime operations. The Indian Navy’s Chief, Admiral R Hari Kumar, praised Adani for aligning its strategies with naval requirements, emphasizing the importance of ‘Atmanirbharta’ in bolstering defence and security.

Admiral R Hari Kumar lauded Adani’s efforts in establishing a robust ecosystem of partners and capabilities, contributing to India’s quest for self-reliance in ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) technology. He termed the occasion as transformative, highlighting the significance of Drishti 10’s integration for maritime supremacy.

Telangana Minister Commends Adani Aerospace Park

Mr D. Sridhar Babu, Honourable Minister of Industries & Commerce, IT, Electronics, and Legislative Affairs of Telangana, congratulated the Adani Defence & Aerospace team for their contribution to creating a vibrant ecosystem for unmanned systems. He commended Adani Aerospace Park in Hyderabad as a world-class facility focused on innovation and indigenization.

Adani Aerospace Park – Pioneering Indigenous Defence Manufacturing

Adani Aerospace Park, the country’s first private-sector final assembly line for military-grade unmanned systems, has played a crucial role in achieving over 70% indigenization. The facility seamlessly integrates manufacturing units for carbon aerostructures, electronics, avionics, and EO IR payloads.

Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace, described the handover of Drishti 10 Starliner UAV as a watershed moment in their journey towards self-sufficiency. He attributed the on-time delivery to robust quality management processes and commendable support from partners, demonstrating efficiency from contract to delivery.
