In a heartwarming celebration that blended medicine with emotion, Narayana Hospital, Ahmedabad, organized a special awareness event titled “Dilon Ki Kahaani, Bachhon Ki Zubaani” — which means “Stories of the heart, told by children.” Held at the Ahmedabad Management Association in May 2025, the event aimed to highlight the incredible journeys of young hearts healed by the hospital’s expert cardiac care team.

More than 300 people gathered at the venue, including respected civic leaders, doctors, medical experts, and families whose lives were touched by pediatric heart care. The event created an emotional space where science met compassion.

Among the chief guests were Smt. Pratibha Jain, the Hon’ble Mayor of Ahmedabad, and Shri Gyanendra Singh Malik, Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad City. Their presence added great warmth and encouragement to the occasion.

They were joined by Dr. Unmesh Upadhyay, Past President Academics of Pediatrics (Ahmedabad Branch), who shared valuable insights on pediatric heart health. From Narayana Hospital’s side, Mr. Hemant Bhatnagar, Facility Director, led the welcome with a heartfelt message about the hospital’s commitment to children’s health.

As the event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, it soon moved into emotional territory. Mr. Bhatnagar shared powerful stories of life-saving heart surgeries performed by the hospital, many of them free of cost. “We don’t just treat hearts, we restore childhoods, dreams, and futures,” he said.

The audience was visibly moved as parents came forward to share their journeys. From fear to hope, and from illness to recovery, the testimonials showcased the life-changing impact of Narayana Hospital’s work on children and their families.

Mayor Smt. Pratibha Jain praised the hospital’s outreach to underserved communities and emphasized the importance of early diagnosis. She beautifully summed it up by saying, “Every healthy heartbeat in a child is a promise to the future.”

Shri Gyanendra Singh Malik appreciated the hospital’s advanced healthcare and urged for stronger community collaborations to reach more children in need.

Dr. Unmesh Upadhyay highlighted the growing importance of pediatric cardiology and called Narayana’s approach “human-first,” applauding how each case was handled with dignity and love.

Senior doctors Dr. Atul Maslekar and Dr. Divyesh Sadadiwala showcased rare and complex heart cases in children, all treated successfully at Narayana Hospital. Their presentations made it clear why the hospital is considered a center of excellence for pediatric cardiac care in Gujarat and beyond.

To bring smiles to the faces of little warriors and lighten the mood, the event included fun elements a magic show, cartoon characters, and cheerful music. These joyful activities turned the event into a celebration of life, not just survival.

Ultimately, “Dilon Ki Kahaani, Bachhon Ki Zubaani” wasn’t just an event — it was a message of love, resilience, and the power of expert care. Narayana Hospital, Ahmedabad, has shown that healing is not just about treatment but compassion, community, and courage.
