Central Bank of India Sparks Joyful Revolution for a Cleaner, Happier India! On Its 115th Foundation Day
Central Bank of India marked its 115th Foundation Day with a special cleanliness campaign and walkathon in Ahmedabad on 17 December 2025, bringing together staff, guests, and local citizens to promote hygiene and health awareness in the community. The event linked the bank’s long banking legacy with its strong focus on social responsibility and public welfare. This event was part of the Government of India’s Swachhta Abhiyan programme. Bank employees took an active part in this special drive.
The aim of the campaign was to inspire people towards cleanliness and good health. Staff from various branches joined hands to clean public areas and spread awareness. Such events help build healthy habits in communities across India.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr Yamal Vyas, Chairman of the State Finance Corporation. Bank Director Mr Pradeep Khimani was present on this occasion. Their support showed the strong link between finance leaders and public welfare.
On the same Foundation Day, the bank’s other zones also hosted walkathons and tree plantation events, showing that this type of activity is part of a nationwide effort rather than a one‑time local programme. These events fit well with national Swachh Bharat and Swachhata Hi Seva drives, where public institutions are encouraged to lead by example in keeping cities clean and healthy.
On behalf of the bank, Zonal Head Mr S. K. Sarkar and Regional Head Ahmedabad Mr Gaurav Kumar Jain were also there. These senior officials encouraged everyone to join. Their presence boosted team spirit among workers.The
