Adani University held its 2nd Convocation Ceremony at its Shantigram campus in Ahmedabad, celebrating the success of 87 postgraduate students. The event became a moment of pride for both families and the academic community as students received degrees that marked the beginning of their next journey. Three students were also honoured as university medallists for their outstanding academic performance.
The graduates included 79 students from the MBA in Infrastructure Management programme and 8 students from the M.Tech in Construction Engineering & Management programme. These programmes hold special importance because India’s infrastructure sector is growing rapidly. According to national projections, India aims to become a global infrastructure leader by investing in smart cities, transport systems, and digital networks. Skilled graduates from such fields are essential for this expansion, making this convocation even more meaningful.
The ceremony was led by Dr Priti G Adani, President of Adani University and Chairperson of the Adani Foundation. She spoke about the major changes happening across India, especially in the areas of digital progress and sustainable development. She reminded the students that infrastructure is not only about building bridges, roads or networks. It is also about improving how people live. With India focusing more on clean energy, modern transport and safe public spaces, she said the country now needs leaders who can design systems with people at the centre.
Dr Adani shared that the next decade will demand smarter solutions. She said that progress should not be judged only by size or speed but by how much it helps citizens. This message reflects India’s growing push towards sustainable and people-friendly infrastructure. She also connected this idea to India’s long civilisational roots, saying that the country has always been a land of deep thought, creativity and moral leadership. She encouraged the graduates to carry this legacy into their careers.
The Adani Group has been promoting research in Indian history and culture through its Indology mission. Dr Adani reminded students that understanding one’s heritage helps in building a strong and confident future. She told them that their work should show responsibility, curiosity and honesty.
She also spoke about the University’s plan to build a new campus focused on innovation and research. This campus is being designed to support more advanced learning labs, industry-linked classrooms and spaces where students can experiment and work with real-world problems. Many industries today prefer to collaborate with universities to find new solutions, especially in engineering, digital systems and artificial intelligence. Adani University aims to strengthen this approach through its new campus.
The Convocation Address was given by Savi S Soin, President of Qualcomm India. He highlighted India’s fast rise in the field of technology. India is becoming a major player in semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, mobile connectivity and digital infrastructure. These advances are helping India grow as a global technology hub. Mr Soin said that stronger industry–academia partnerships will be key to this growth. He appreciated the university’s multidisciplinary approach, which helps students connect knowledge from different fields.
He encouraged the students to keep learning throughout their careers, as technology changes quickly. He also said that future leaders must think clearly about systems, act with ethics and understand sustainability. This reflects the global trend where companies prefer leaders who can balance innovation with responsibility.
The ceremony ended with a group photograph of the graduating students along with faculty and leaders. For many families, it was an emotional moment as they watched their children reach an important milestone.
Adani University, founded in 2022, is growing as a centre of modern education. It focuses on combining technology, industry learning and research to prepare students for a changing world.
