Rajkot-based Gopal Snacks has taken a big step. The company, known for traditional savoury snacks, became the Official Snack Partner of the prestigious 70th Filmfare Awards. The awards night was held at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad and brought together India’s biggest Hindi film stars. Partnering with the Filmfare Awards gives Gopal Snacks a strong presence at a glamorous event, and that helps the brand reach new people.

On the special night, founder Bipin Hadwani of Gopal Snacks had a prominent moment: he presented the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) to Ravi Kishan, for his performance in the movie Laapataa Ladies. This kind of visibility is rare and helps viewers remember the Gopal Snacks name alongside the film industry’s big stars.

Speaking at the partnership announcement, Mr. Hadwani said, “It is a privilege for Gopal Snacks to partner with Filmfare Awards, the biggest awards night in Bollywood. Gopal Snacks has come a long way. Based in Rajkot (Gujarat), the company was once a local favourite but now has national ambitions. It is the largest maker of gathiya and snack pellets in India, the second-largest organised producer of ethnic namkeens in Gujarat, and stands fourth nationally in papad production. The company offers more than 85 products across 320 unique variants including traditional namkeens, snack pellets, packaged sweets, spices, and Western-inspired savoury treats. Behind those numbers are manufacturing units in Gujarat and Maharashtra, strong distribution across states, and a broad portfolio of snack types. For example, the company’s product spread and SKU count were already 84 products and 276 SKUs as of late 2023.
