Two groups of farmers from Gujarat, called Banas and Chorad, have won important awards thanks to support from the Reliance Foundation. These awards were given at a special event called the CII FPO Summit in New Delhi. Banas got an award for doing a great job at connecting with members, while Chorad was recognized for helping farmers sell their products.
The Reliance Foundation helps these farmer groups by giving them access to things like markets, technology, and money. They also teach the people running these groups how to do their job better. They even provide advice about things like weather, prices, and how to protect crops from pests and diseases. So far, the Reliance Foundation has helped more than 100 of these farmer groups.
The CII FPO Summit is like a big meeting where people from all over India come together to talk about these farmer groups. At this event, they give out awards to the groups that are doing really well and helping farmers earn more money. Banas and Chorad won these awards after going through a tough selection process.
