The skies above the Statue of Unity came alive this morning as the Indian Air Force’s Suryakiran Aerobatic Team and Indian Air Force helicopters presented a magnificent aerial display to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2025 (National Unity Day).
In the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the aerial display transformed the skies over Ekta Nagar into a vibrant canvas of the Tricolour, symbolising the strength, unity, and pride of the nation.
The dazzling formations, precision manoeuvres and tricolour trails by the Suryakiran team, complemented by IAF helicopters, created history as petals were showered over the tallest statue in the world, etching an unforgettable image in the hearts of millions and leaving the spectators spellbound. The event stood as a fitting tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on his birth anniversary.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister lauded the Indian Air Force for its spectacular performance and addressed the gathering while reaffirming the Government’s commitment to uphold the ideals of unity and integrity that Sardar Patel envisioned for the nation.
Thousands of visitors and dignitaries witnessed the event, joining in the celebration of India’s collective strength and spirit. The skies over Ekta Nagar echoed with patriotic fervour as the display culminated in a grand tricolour salute.
