This win proves India’s strength in women’s kabaddi on the world stage as they finished the tournament undefeated.
The World Cup in Dhaka saw teams from 11 countries taking part, showing how the sport is growing internationally. India won all their group matches and then beat Iran 33–21 in the semi-final. He added that the win is not just another trophy but a shared responsibility to grow the game even more.
Goswami also talked about creating a Women’s Kabaddi League. He said that rushing into a new league is not the right approach. Instead, the focus should be on building a solid league with players who want to be part of it and a structure that can support women’s kabaddi in the long term.

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is one of the biggest contributors to the sport’s popularity in India today.
