Young photographer Manvita Desai Bhatt’s photo exhibition beautifully captures moments from different cultures, landscapes, etc. It includes places from Kutch, Ahmedabad, to Calcutta, Andaman, etc.
At Satya Art Gallery in Ahmedabad, Manvita’s show ‘Kshanchitra’ feels special because the gallery is part of Navjivan Trust, set up a long time ago to share Gandhi’s ideas. It’s a peaceful place with art and history together. People say you’ll see meaningful photos and feel calm walking inside. This photo shows the start on September 8, 2025, and runs just a few days, until September 10, open from 12 noon to 9 pm. Art lovers and families can visit after lunch or in the evening, which many people like, because it’s a good time to enjoy art slowly
The exhibition was opened by Shri Maheshbhai Joshi and Shri Kiranbhai Shah. Having respected local people open a show gives it honour and makes more people want to come. It’s a way to show support and celebrate the artist’s hard work. Manvita Desai Bhatt is a young photographer who shows places from Kutch’s deserts, Ahmedabad’s busy streets, to the faraway Andaman Islands, and even Kolkata (Calcutta). This makes the photographs full of stories, like quiet dunes, lively markets, tropical islands, and big city sights. It’s easy to feel like you’re travelling just by looking at her pictures.
Kutch is known for its white salt flats and colourful crafts. Photographs from there often feel calm yet bright. Ahmedabad mixes old and new, studded with historic old city lanes and modern buildings, which makes her pictures rich in contrast. The Andaman Islands are green and full of sea, which brings a peaceful, remote feel. Kolkata has old trams and big markets, full of energy. Each place she captured has its own mood and story.
Satya Art Gallery isn’t just about photos; it is also well-loved for being quiet, thoughtful, and inspirational. It’s housed in the Gandhi-linked Navjivan Trust campus, so it carries history and calm. Many visitors say they enjoy both the art and the peaceful vibe. A few other exhibitions at this gallery show all kinds of powerful images, from old war photos to music stories. They even have a small café called Karma Café where you can get simple, clean meals. It’s a nice spot to rest after walking around.
Photographs in ‘Kshanchitra’ are likely to make visitors feel different emotions. They might feel wonder, comfort, excitement, or calm. Photography that shows different cultures helps people feel close to far places, even if they’ve never been. The name ‘Kshanchitra’ means images of time. That adds meaning; photos let us pause a moment and show time in still form. It makes the show feel deep, like each shot is a story frozen in time.
For families or classmates in Ahmedabad, visiting this show is a great way to explore art close to home. Since it’s open until 9 pm, visitors can come after school or work. It also gives young people a chance to see how storytelling through photos works. Learning through art helps us notice beauty in everyday life. Overall, this exhibition brings together culture, travel, art, and thoughtful reflection. It’s a friendly place to visit and let your mind travel from deserts to islands, from old city corners to sea waves, all through the eyes of a young photographer.
