Mayflower AMA Ladies Club Conclave 2026
Mayflower-Ahmedabad Medical Association Ladies Club Conclave 2026 Celebrates “New Era of Women” with Landmark Scientific Sessions and Philanthropic Grandeur
The highly anticipated Mayflower-A.M.A. Ladies Club Conclave 2026 was successfully celebrated today under the inspiring theme, “New Era of Women: Together We Rise, Together We Shine.” Led by Dr Sushila Kella, President of the AMA Ladies Club, along with her dedicated executive team, the full-day convention brought together doctors, healthcare experts, social leaders and professionals for a meaningful exchange of ideas focused on women’s progress, health and self-reliance.

The event reflected the long-standing legacy of the Ahmedabad Medical Association and its Ladies Club, which has been actively serving the medical community for decades. The Ladies Club was established in 1966 and has continued to create programmes that combine healthcare, education and community service. The conclave carried forward that tradition by creating a platform where women could learn, connect and grow together.
One of the most memorable moments of the day came during the inaugural ceremony when Guest of Honour Dr Nitin Sumant Shah, a respected cardiologist and philanthropist, announced a generous donation of Rs. 12 lakh to the Ahmedabad Medical Association and AMA Ladies Club. The contribution was dedicated towards strengthening future initiatives aimed at women’s welfare, health awareness and community development. The announcement received a standing ovation from the audience and was widely appreciated as a powerful example of giving back to society.
The programme began with a traditional prayer and a warm welcome for delegates. The event was smoothly conducted by the Masters of Ceremony, Mayuri Vachharajani, Divya Mohta and Vatsala Gosai. Chief Guest Dr Sanjay Patel, a renowned gynaecologist, joined Dr Nitin Sumant Shah in lighting the ceremonial lamp and speaking about the changing landscape of women’s healthcare. Across India, medical organisations are increasingly focusing on preventive healthcare, early diagnosis and women’s well-being, making such discussions more relevant than ever. Recent healthcare campaigns have also stressed the importance of protecting women’s health through awareness and timely medical intervention.
The educational sessions formed the heart of the conclave. Ms Ruzan Khambhata delivered a highly energetic address titled “New Era – New Aim: Women Changing the Game”. Known for her work in entrepreneurship, leadership and women’s empowerment, she encouraged women to break barriers and embrace leadership opportunities. Over the years, she has spoken widely on women’s advancement, entrepreneurship and personal growth, making her message especially relevant to the conclave’s theme.
A significant medical awareness session was conducted by Dr Chintan Shah of HOC Vedanta, who discussed modern approaches to ovarian cancer diagnosis and treatment. Ovarian cancer remains one of the most challenging cancers among women because symptoms are often difficult to detect in the early stages. Experts worldwide continue to stress the importance of awareness, regular medical consultation and timely screening for improved outcomes.
The Mayflower Hospital Scientific Session brought together an experienced panel comprising Dr Smeet, Dr Shaiju, Dr Ripal Patel and Dr Ravina Patel. Their presentations covered endometriosis, advanced genetics in IVF, egg freezing and the management of genitourinary syndrome after menopause. These topics have gained increasing importance in recent years as more women seek greater awareness of reproductive health, fertility planning and healthy ageing. Advances in reproductive medicine and genetic science have opened new options for women who wish to make informed decisions about their future health and family planning.
The conclave also looked beyond medicine. Dr Munjal Pandya spoke about balancing physical health with mental and spiritual well-being. Around the world, healthcare experts now recognise that emotional health plays a major role in overall wellness. Managing stress, maintaining positive relationships and creating healthy daily habits are increasingly seen as essential parts of a healthy life.
Adding another practical dimension to the event, Dr Bansari Mahadevia presented a session on celebrity skincare and aesthetic treatments. With social media influencing beauty trends more than ever, the session helped attendees understand the difference between scientific facts and marketing claims. The discussion encouraged informed choices and realistic expectations regarding skincare treatments.
Financial literacy was another major focus. Certified Wealth Manager Rushi Khatri introduced “The Turtle Strategy for Wealth Creation”, highlighting the value of patience, disciplined investing and long-term planning. Financial experts often note that women who actively participate in financial planning tend to achieve greater financial security and independence over time. Studies examining women in leadership and business have also shown the positive impact of women’s participation in decision-making and long-term financial management.
The event also celebrated culture and creativity. A lively Gujarati skit directed by Dr Dhiren Mehta entertained the audience while delivering meaningful messages through humour and performance. The combination of education and cultural expression helped maintain a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.
The conclave concluded with an exciting lucky draw sponsored by Zaira Diamond, followed by a networking session over high tea. As delegates exchanged ideas and experiences, the spirit of the theme remained visible in every conversation. The Mayflower-A.M.A. Ladies Club Conclave 2026 successfully demonstrated how healthcare, education, financial awareness and community support can come together to create a stronger future for women. Through knowledge sharing, philanthropy and collective action, the event delivered a powerful message that when women rise together, entire communities move forward.
