Operation Sindoor: India’s Desi Jets Rewrite the Rules of Air Dominance
Newz Daddy Defence Updates
India’s Operation Sindoor has become a proud milestone for the country’s defence sector. For the very first time in a real war-like situation, India used homegrown missile systems to strike down enemy threats successfully.
This mission showed the world how far Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) has come. Powerful missiles like BrahMos, Akash, and Barak MR-SAM were made in India and used by the Indian Air Force (IAF) with great success.
Using missiles in actual combat is not just about showing strength. It’s about proving that these weapons work when it truly matters. And that’s exactly what India did.
These Indian-made Missile Systems:
- Stopped enemy Aircraft, drones, and radar systems in action.
- Worked perfectly under battlefield pressure.
- Hit targets with high accuracy, using India’s own NAVIC navigation system.
- Showed the world how strong Indian defence research and manufacturing have become.
This means India is not just buying weapons anymore—it is making and using them effectively, and even selling them to other countries.
BrahMos is one of the fastest and most powerful missiles in the world. It flies at Mach 2.8 speed (nearly three times the speed of sound) and hits targets with great force.
Here’s What Makes BrahMos Special:
- Jointly developed by India and Russia, but with a big Indian role in production.
- Used by all three Indian defence forces – the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
- Can be launched from land, air, and sea platforms.
- Air-launched BrahMos was used by Su-30mki aircraft in Operation Sindoor.
- Struck deep enemy targets, including major Pakistani Air Force (PAF) bases like Sargodha, Jacobabad, Bholari, Chaklala, and Nur Khan
These precise attacks proved that India’s air-launched BrahMos is battle-ready. And because of this success, many countries are now interested in buying it. The Philippines has already received two batches of BrahMos missiles.
-
Akash – A surface-to-air missile made for defending Indian skies from enemy aircraft, missiles and drones.
-
Barak MR-SAM – a medium-range missile jointly made by India and Israel. It can target and destroy threats coming from the sky with pinpoint accuracy.
Both missiles were used successfully in Operation Sindoor and played a big role in protecting Indian airspace.
This mission is a big win for ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ in defence. It shows how India can make world-class weapons on its own.
Behind This Success Are Powerful Organisations:
These agencies are not just making weapons for India but are now competing in the global arms market.
Operation Sindoor is not just another military mission. It’s a sign that India is now strong enough to fight with weapons made by its people.
It Shows:
- India’s military is modern and smart.
- Indian scientists and engineers can build world-class defence systems.
- India is ready to export defence equipment to friendly countries.
From now on, the world will see India as a rising power in defence technology.
