The Housefull movie series has always been about having fun without thinking too hard. It’s like leaving your brain at home and just enjoying the magic. Comedy is a genre where looking for logic is like walking from Kashmir to Kanyakumari!

So, I’ve seen both Housefull 5 movies – Housefull A and Housefull B. Yes, it was a big surprise that two versions of the same movie were shown in theatres at the same time! And I’ve seen both of them.

“Housefull 5” Movie Review

The Plot & Storyline: This time, over 90% of the movie takes place on a cruise ship. Everyone is there for a birthday party, but then a murder happens. To make things even more confusing, three different people named Jolly claim to be the heir to a fortune. You’ll even see a parrot and a monkey from the older Housefull movies, which brings back fun memories.

The movie starts with a murder, and at first, you might wonder if you’re watching a comedy or a mystery. But soon after, the real fun begins. Just like other Housefull movies, don’t try to find logic; just relax and watch what happens. You’ll see how amazing Akshay Kumar is at comedy.

The movie keeps you guessing about who the killer is until the very end. What’s super cool is that both Housefull A and Housefull B have different killers! This makes it really exciting and creates a lot of buzz. At first, I wasn’t sure about having two versions, but after watching both, I really enjoyed it. The last 20 minutes change a lot in each version, and some scenes even had to be shot twice with different actors.

Even with so many actors (almost 20!), no one feels left out. Everyone gets enough time on screen, and we get to know their stories, which helps us care about them.

Acting: Akshay Kumar shines in his quirky, funny role, just like we want him to. Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff play their “Bheedoo and Baba” roles well, almost like they’re just being themselves. Nana Patekar’s role is like a special guest appearance, but he’s key to finding the killer. He also delivers a funny performance after his serious comic role in “Welcome.”

Direction & Screenplay: Sajid Nadiadwala has done a great job mixing murder mystery with comedy. Even though murders keep happening on the cruise, people are still laughing. It’s impressive how well they pulled this off. The movie is well-made, and you can tell they spent a lot of money, not just on actors, but also on the locations and overall look, which keeps the film feeling fresh.

Cinematography: The movie looks good, especially since it’s mostly set on a cruise ship. The visuals are clean and help create that fresh feeling throughout the film.
