Swarrnim Mega Job Fair 2026 Delivers Proud Moment For Gujarat Youth

More than 800 Students Participate in the Swarrnim Mega Job Fair 2026 Organised at the university campus. Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University hosted Campus Se Career – Swarrnim Mega Job Fair 2026 at its campus. The job fair drew some 1,400 registrations, of which 819 students actively participated in the on-campus recruitment drive.

Job fairs like this play a big role in India’s education system today. Every year, lakhs of students graduate, but not all find jobs easily. Many companies prefer hiring fresh talent directly from campuses. This helps students get their first job faster and also saves time and cost for companies. In Gujarat, campus job fairs have become more common in recent years as industries continue to grow in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, information technology and manufacturing. Events like these help students take their first step into the professional world with confidence.

Organised by the Training & Placement Cell of the university along with the partner institutions Sharda School of Pharmacy, IAR UNIVERSITY, K B Raval College of Pharmacy and in collaboration with the District Employment Exchange, Gandhinagar, the full-day fair connected students with leading recruiters across pharma, chemicals, IT, automobiles, agritech and healthcare.

The role of placement cells and employment exchanges has become very important in India. Government employment exchanges were earlier known mainly for public sector jobs, but today they also work closely with private companies. They help match the right candidate with the right job. Gujarat, in particular, has one of the strongest industrial bases in India. The state is known for its pharmaceutical companies, chemical plants and automobile manufacturing. Because of this, students from Gujarat often get good opportunities if they have the right skills and training.

Some 35 recruiters included Zydus Hospitals and Healthcare Research Pvt. Ltd., Deedy Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., JR Automation Technology Private Limited, Bosch Home Comfort Pro, Lenskart Pvt. Ltd., Tech Mahindra, Khatarwale India Pvt. Ltd., Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Conical Pharmaceuticals, Ishan Technologies, Ulink Agritech (Agrostar), Kiran Motors Ltd., among others. The overall packages offered to students ranged from Rs 2.5 lakh per annum to Rs 8 lakh per annum.

These companies come from industries that are growing fast in India. For example, the pharmaceutical sector in Gujarat is very strong. The state produces a large share of India’s medicines and exports them to many countries. Companies like Torrent Pharmaceuticals and Zydus are well-known names. The IT sector is also expanding, with firms like Tech Mahindra offering jobs to fresh graduates every year. The automobile sector is another major employer, especially with Gujarat becoming a hub for car manufacturing. Even agritech companies are now hiring more young people, as farming is becoming more modern and technology-based.

Students of various disciplines like engineering, management, computing and IT, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, science and healthcare appeared and were offered roles such as Plant Supervisor/QA-QC Chemist, Sales & Marketing Executive, Agri Advisor, Network Field Engineer, Service Advisor, Graduate Engineer Trainee, Pharmacist, IT Support and Associate Medical Services.

This shows how job roles are changing with time. Earlier, most students wanted only government jobs. But today, many students are ready to work in private companies, startups and new industries. Roles like Graduate Engineer Trainee help fresh graduates learn while working. IT Support and Network Engineer roles are in high demand because almost every company now depends on computers and the internet. Healthcare jobs are also growing after the COVID-19 pandemic, which showed how important medical services are. Agriculture is also seeing change, with young graduates helping farmers use better tools and methods.

“The idea behind the job fair is not just to fetch employment opportunities for graduating students but also strengthen the institution’s industry-academia collaboration. At Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, our focus is on building career-ready graduates who understand workplace expectations from day one. Through continued collaboration with recruiters and the District Employment Exchange, Gandhinagar, we are creating a seamless transition from campus to career while strengthening Gujarat’s skilled workforce ecosystem,” said Mr Adi Rishabh Jain, Vice President, Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University.

Industry and academic partnerships are now seen as very important for student success. Experts often say that students need practical skills along with classroom learning. Many universities are now working closely with companies to understand what skills are needed. This helps students become ready for real jobs. Gujarat has been focusing on skill development for many years. The state government has also launched skill programmes to help young people become employable.

Events like the Swarrnim Mega Job Fair also give students more than just jobs. They learn how to face interviews, speak with recruiters and understand company expectations. Even students who do not get selected gain valuable experience. This makes them more prepared for future opportunities.

With over 800 students taking part and dozens of companies offering roles, the job fair highlights the growing connection between education and industry. It also reflects Gujarat’s strong position as a centre for jobs and industry. For many students, the event may mark the beginning of their professional journey and a step towards building their future.
