Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF Securities, indicated in a tweet that the newest iPhone devices in 2023 and perhaps 2024 may not have Touch ID under the display. This isn’t a problem because a Face ID with a mask is already a biometric option for unlocking your iPhone. It was previously expected that the iPhone series of 2023 would be the first to incorporate an under-display Touch ID, but it appears that iPhone owners will have to wait a little longer.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, according to a recent report, would have a larger display to fit the new design. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are said to include a pill-shaped hole punch cutout instead of the iconic notch found on current iPhone displays. According to a prior report, the iPhone 14 would use a 6.06-inch flexible OLED display, while the iPhone 14 Pro will include a 6.06-inch flexible OLED LTPO display. The iPhone 14 Max will have a 6.68-inch flexible OLED display, similar to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a 6.68-inch flexible OLED LTPO display.
Apple’s iPhone 14 series is likely to contain four models, similar to its predecessor. Apple is likely to drop the ‘Mini’ iPhone this year in favor of an iPhone 14 Max, which will be a larger version of the vanilla iPhone 14, much like the iPhone 13 Mini is a smaller version of the vanilla iPhone 13.
