The city of Ahmedabad witnessed an evening of pride, patriotism, and heartfelt gratitude as “Veero Ko Suro Ki Salami” was hosted at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium. The musical tribute brought together citizens, officials, and veterans to honour the courage and sacrifice of soldiers from Operation Sindoor and the Kargil War. The attraction and aim of the event was to honour 15 Veer Nari families and ex-servicemen, uniting the audience in a collective salute to the real heroes of the nation.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Brigadier V. Radhakrishnan, a decorated veteran of Operation Vijay (Kargil 1999), who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. With over 32 years of service and a career that included command of key Air Defence formations and 13 years as a helicopter pilot, his presence set the tone for the evening.

The gathering also extended a warm welcome to Mr. Amit Dongre, Chief Fire Officer of Ahmedabad Fire & Emergency Services, and Mr. Devang Dani, Standing Committee Chairman of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, whose leadership and public service continue to inspire the community.

Wing Commander Abhishek Tiwari, who played a pivotal role in conceptualising and organising the Gala evening, added a special dimension to the event with his leadership and dedication. The evening featured a stirring musical tribute to the martyrs of Operation Sindoor, which filled the hall with patriotic energy and resonated with the spirit of India’s triumphs and resilience.”

“The Chief Guest of the evening felicitated 15 Veer Nari families and ex-servicemen, presenting them with a certificate of honour and a cheque of INR 51,000 each. The solemn ceremony united the audience in a collective salute to the true heroes of the nation, acknowledging their sacrifice and service with dignity and respect.”

Speaking on the occasion, Wg Cdr Abhishek Tiwari said, “The program was not just about remembrance, but about keeping alive the legacy of courage, sacrifice, and unity that defines India’s armed forces.”

As the evening concluded, the hall resonated with applause, pride, and the eternal words: Jai Hind.
