The son of a diamond worker earns a coveted spot at IIM, making AVMA proud. After overcoming his early arithmetic difficulties, Vatsal Gupta achieved an outstanding 99.51th percentile on the CAT exam.
Vatsal Gupta had no idea how much Adani Vidya Mandir Ahmedabad (AVMA) would alter his life when he enrolled there as a young man in 2010. In addition to earning a spot at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Rohatak, where he will be studying a Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), Vatsal also achieved an outstanding 99.51 percentile on the Common Admission Test (CAT).
It wasn’t easy, but I managed to get to six IIMs. I think IIM-Rohatak is the best, and I’m excited for a thrilling adventure. My AVMA teachers’ advice and encouragement provided me the strength to set greater goals and maintain my concentration. I shall always cherish my school,” Vatsal remarked.
His family resides in Ahmedabad’s Nikol. Preeti, Vatsal’s mother, works as a teacher. His younger sister Venisha is working towards a bachelor’s degree in business, while his father Jayesh is employed at a diamond company.
In hindsight, Vatsal had a hard time with maths during his early years. He even failed to receive passing grades in the subject at AVMA once. I was expecting a reprimand from my teacher. Instead, Sabita Madam, my maths instructor, sat me down and said, “We will work on this together.” Vatsal, who enjoys reading books and aspires to master foreign languages like French, stated, “She meant it, and for months she helped me with the subject during lunch breaks.” He was always interested in science in school.
In 2020, I graduated from AVMA. There, I made a lot of friends, and my teachers helped me along the way,” he recalled. My ideals and outlook on life have been influenced by my school. It is now a significant step to pursue an MBA [Master of Business Administration] from IIM-Rohtak. Vatsal stated, “I think it will open up a world of opportunities both in terms of knowledge and career.” He quickly added that the institution’s peer learning and exposure will help him develop into a self-assured and responsible person.
Combining my AVM roots with IIM wings, in my opinion, will enable me to forge a route that will enable me to succeed personally and make a significant contribution to society. He remarked, “Perhaps even at the Adani Group someday.”
The parents of Vatsal are overjoyed. They are thrilled and pleased with the chance he has been given. They recalled the help and direction their child had as a child and remarked that AVMA is more than simply his education; it is a blessing that changed his life.
This year’s 100% pass rate in the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) and the highest National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) score it received in the Right to Education (RTE) category demonstrate AVMA’s unwavering commitment to helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds in their quest for a better future. Free, high-quality education is being given to students, combined with training and counselling to help them get ready for life’s challenges.
