Through this project, 26 new Directorates of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV) locations will now be covered, ensuring that a larger number of veterans receive essential services right at their doorstep. This expansion follows the success of the first phase, which was launched in September 2023 and covered 14 DIAV locations.
- The tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend the program was renewed between:

- Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services, such as document verification and application processing.
- Business-to-Consumer (B2C) services, ensuring digital and financial inclusion.

Expanding to 26 New Locations Across India

The initiative ensures that more veterans and their families have direct access to essential services within defense establishments themselves.
One of the standout aspects of Project NAMAN is its focus on economic independence for veterans and their families. Under the HDFC Bank Parivartan programme, individuals managing the Common Service Centres (CSCs) will receive a monthly monetary grant for the first 12 months.
This means that:
- Veterans and their families operating CSCs will be financially supported.
- They will receive training in financial literacy, digital transactions, and entrepreneurship.
- The initiative will enable long-term employment and self-reliance for army families.
For many army veterans, post-retirement life can be challenging—from managing pensions to securing financial stability. Project NAMAN is a groundbreaking initiative that directly addresses these concerns, ensuring that veterans:
- Have easy access to pension services without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Can access digital and financial services to integrate into the evolving economy.
- Receive skill development and financial training for career and business growth.
HDFC Bank, Indian Army, and CSC Academy expand Project NAMAN to more locations, the impact will be profound. This initiative is not just about services; it’s about giving back to the people who dedicated their lives to the nation.
Through this strategic expansion, thousands of veterans and their families will benefit from better financial inclusion, job opportunities, and a more secure future. This is a true “Tribute to Veterans”, ensuring that their sacrifices are honored long after their service ends.
