TYCA Initiative: A Bold Step in Leadership Transformation

The I CAN I WILL Foundation and Unlimited Unnati (founded by business coach Shyam Taneja) have launched a new initiative called TYCA – Transform Yourself, Create Abundance. The launch event took place on 13 November at Unlimited Unnati’s premises in Ahmedabad. The event marked the start of a year-long journey for a select group of leaders.
The I CAN I WILL Foundation has a clear mission — Build India by helping the MSME sector perform competitively and efficiently. The Foundation works towards enhancing the performance of business owners and their teams by instilling an international level of competitiveness. As Mr Taneja explains, “By helping Indian entrepreneurs perform better, we aim to make India a power to reckon with.”
Research shows that many micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India struggle with leadership, processes and global competitiveness. The Foundation’s focus ties directly into the national push for MSME growth and professionalisation. For example, enabling entrepreneurs to think of systems and leadership helps bridge the gap between local enterprise and global best practice.
The new initiative, TYCA, has been designed to help participants work on these areas through a structured process of self-improvement. It focuses on developing leadership qualities through deep introspection, powerful questioning, empathetic listening, and profound thinking.
Modern leadership thinking emphasises these soft skills. Empathetic listening is key to leading teams well; deep introspection helps leaders to question assumptions; powerful questioning drives clarity. Programmes aimed at leadership transformation often include these elements to boost personal and team performance.
The first TYCA group includes 12-13 dynamic leaders from diverse organisations, who will embark on a year-long journey of growth and transformation. Through this process, participants will engage in thought-provoking discussions that shift perceptions, spark awareness, and inspire meaningful action. Small cohort programmes like this are effective because they allow deep work, peer support and follow-through over time. Leadership transformation is rarely a quick fix; the year-long format supports sustained change and accountability.
“TYCA is not just a forum; it’s a journey of self-discovery and collective growth,” says Mr Shyam Taneja. “When we transform ourselves, we create abundance not just for us but for everyone around us.” The idea that personal transformation has ripple-effects out into teams and organisations reflects current approaches in organisational development.
