The participants will attempt to ensure gold in their respective events despite the fact that three medals are already guaranteed. The mixed badminton team plays Malaysia in the gold medal match while the women’s fours team competes in the lawn bowls final. In the championship match against Singapore, the men’s table tennis team will also compete.

An important day for India at the 2022 Commonwealth Games is Day 5. Three of the nine medals they now hold are in gold, but three more gold ones could be added today. In their respective finals, three Indian teams are present.

The women’s fours lawn bowling team will go first. They won against New Zealand in the semifinals to give India its first-ever medal in the competition at the CWG. The final will pit them against South Africa. The gold medal match will feature Malaysia vs. the Indian mixed badminton team. In the final, they triumphed over Singapore.

In the championship match, Singapore will play the Indian men’s table tennis team. In the semifinal match for men, they defeated Nigeria.

India’s schedule, performance, and medal count for the Commonwealth Games

India’s athletic competition will also get underway with the participation of Muhammad Anees Yahiya and Murali Sreeshankar in the long jump qualifying. Tejaswin Shankar will compete in the high jump preliminary round.
