Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu announced on his official social media handle earlier on Thursday that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing moderate symptoms. He’s been cooped up at home and can’t wait to get back to work. The superstar also encouraged his fans and followers to be vaccinated if they haven’t already done so, as it minimizes the risk of hospitalization and severe illness.
“I’ve sequestered myself at home and have been following medical advice,” he continued.
He also asked that anyone who has recently come into contact with him be tested. He also took use of the opportunity to “encourage everyone who has not yet had their immunization to do so as soon as possible, since it minimizes the risk of severe symptoms and hospitalization.” Finally, he stated that he hoped to return soon.
Several Bollywood celebs have recently tested positive for the virus after getting it. Some of them are producer Ekta Kapoor, actor-producer John Abraham, and his wife Priya Runchal, an actress Mrunal Thakur. Prem Chopra and his wife Uma were also released on Wednesday after spending a day at the Lilavati Hospital after testing positive for Covid.
