Brazil’s Close Win: Marquinhos Scores Late to Beat Peru

Newzdaddy Sports updates

In a football match, Brazil managed to win 1-0 against Peru, thanks to Marquinhos’ late goal. While Neymar is usually the star, this time, other players had to step up.

Neymar didn’t play his best. At the start, Brazil scored a goal, but it didn’t count because someone was offside before. The same thing happened later when Richarlison scored, but the video review showed he was offside too. Brazil had more chances, but Neymar’s shots weren’t sharp enough.

In the second half, Brazil tried harder to score, but they couldn’t do it during normal play. Neymar still wasn’t at his best. In the end, a corner kick helped Brazil win, with Marquinhos heading the ball into the goal in the last minute.

Even though Brazil won, they need to play better in the future. In this match, they got a bit lucky, and they can’t always rely on Neymar to save the day.

Here are the ratings for the Brazil players in the game:

Goalkeeper & Defense:

  • Ederson (6/10): Did well passing the ball.
  • Danilo (6/10): Did his job but could have been better.
  • Marquinhos (9/10): Played well and scored the winning goal.
  • Gabriel (7/10): Did a good job defending.
  • Renan Lodi (7/10): Did well even though he was in an unusual position.

Midfield:

  • Bruno Guimaraes (7/10): Did a good job in the middle of the field.
  • Casemiro (6/10): Passed the ball well and helped with creativity.
  • Neymar (4/10): Didn’t have a great game and missed some passes.

Attack:

  • Raphinha (6/10): Ran a lot and caused problems but didn’t always finish well.
  • Richarlison (5/10): Scored a goal that didn’t count and didn’t do much else.
  • Rodrygo (6/10): Was exciting at first but got tired as the game went on.

Substitutes & Coach:

  • Gabriel Jesus (7/10): Came in and made a positive impact.
  • Vanderson (N/A): A confusing substitution.
  • Joelinton (N/A): Didn’t have much time to make a difference.
  • Gabriel Martinelli (N/A): Looked good but should have come in earlier.
  • Raphael Veiga (N/A): Played for a short time.
  • Fernando Diniz (5/10): Made some strange decisions but picked a strong team, even though they didn’t play their best.

To sum it up, Brazil won, but they need to play better next time. Marquinhos was the hero this time, showing that Brazil can’t always rely on Neymar to win.
