Girganga Trust takes Water Conservation to new heights

“Girganga Parivar Trust’s Vision of 1,11,111 Water Conservation Structures Gets a Boost; Jal Sammelan and Inauguration of 12 Tata Hitachi Machines in Presence of C.R. Patil”
“Tata Hitachi Machines to be Inaugurated by Energy Minister Kanubhai Desai; Blessings to Be Delivered by Pujya Paramatmanandji”
• Jetco, PGVCL, and UGVCL will inaugurate 12 cutting-edge Tata Hitachi equipment that will speed up water-saving efforts.
• Girganga Parivar Trust has finished more than 8,000 water storage projects to date; a sizable water conference on the value of pure water, such as rain nectar, in life and appropriate water conservation was held at Paradise Hall.

The Union Cabinet Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C.R. Patil, will preside over a grand Jal Sammelan on July 12 at 5:00 PM at Paradise Hall, which is behind Cosmoplex Cinema on Kalavad Road, to honour the Hon. Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Saheb’s vision of “Water Conservation through Public Participation” and to expedite this initiative. The event is a part of the Girganga Parivar Trust’s enormous commitment, which will see the construction of 1,11,111 check dams.

The organization works worldwide to preserve water for the benefit of all living things, including humans, animals, and birds. In the presence of Gujarat Energy Minister Shri Kanubhai Desai and Shri C.R. Patil, Pujya Swami Shri Paramatmanandji of Arsh Vidya Mandir, Munjka, would bestow blessings on this special occasion. Upendra Pandey, Managing Director of JETCO, K.P. Joshi, Managing Director of PGVCL, Shri S.J. Haider, Additional Chief Secretary, Energy and Petrochemicals Department, and Shri N.F. Chaudhry, Managing Director of UGVCL, will attend the inauguration ceremony as special guests.

This Jal Sammelan will be attended by over 1500 dignitaries, including donors, community leaders, industrialists, and notable people from different districts and talukas, in the presence of Gujarat BJP Vice President Dr. Bharatbhai Bodhra, Rajkot City BJP President Shri Madhavbhai Dave, and former Rajkot City BJP President Shri Mukeshbhai Doshi. The significance of pure rainwater, which is regarded as life’s nectar, and the necessity of its appropriate conservation will be discussed at the event.

Repairing, deepening, and elevating ancient, broken, and damaged check dams is what the Girganga Parivar Trust does under the direction of its president, Shri Dilipbhai Sakhiya. Furthermore, new check dams are built according to the specifications. Approximately 8000 water conservation projects of this type have been successfully finished by the Girganga Parivar Trust to date. When it comes to water conservation, this is indeed a Bhagirath-like endeavor being undertaken in several districts and talukas. Indeed, Saurashtra has a lot of check dams, both big and small. Nevertheless, silt has been collected in many of these dams, making them quite shallow. With the help of the people, the Girganga Parivar Trust eliminates silt-filled check dams like these.

The soil makes the land’s bottom layer visible, boosting the dam’s ability to hold water. Crop productivity is greatly increased when farmers spread the fertile soil that was taken out of the dams over their fields.
In addition to refilling borewells and establishing farm ponds, Girganga Parivar Trust has made a strong decision to repair, deepen, elevate, and build new check dams—a total of 1,11,111—across several districts and talukas. Approximately 8,000 of the 1,11,111 planned structures have already been finished.

Numerous community members and donors have partnered with Girganga Parivar Trust on this trip. Our areas shouldn’t experience the same water issue as Bengaluru and Delhi right now. People must realize the value of pure rainwater, which is similar to nectar. By building check dams in their home villages to store rainwater, they can make special events like birthdays, wedding anniversaries, loved ones’ death anniversaries, or any other special occasion at home forever memorable. They may contribute to the long-term protection of all life on Earth by doing this.

In the past, the surrounding surroundings used to bloom with lush vegetation and trees because of the water in the ponds and rivers. Every animal, bird, and other living thing now had access to food, drinking water, and a natural habitat. However, nature is being destroyed today due to the severe depletion of groundwater levels, which has caused many living things to go extinct due to a shortage of water and has made human society more susceptible to disease. In such a scenario, the Girganga Parivar Trust is striving for appropriate rainwater conservation with full public engagement.
