Sonic’s Bittu pays a visit to the children at Lalji Mehrotra Lions School and Calorx Olive International School, giving Friendship Day a creative spin.
With a surprise that children will never forget on Friendship Day, Sonic transformed a simple hello into a friendship that will last a lifetime! Bittu Bahanebaaz lit up the Capital with his signature charm and humour as he surprised over a thousand children throughout Ahmedabad as part of the channel’s week-long celebrations. The day was full of enjoyable activities that charmingly illustrated the value of friendship as part of Sonic’s unique Toast Your Dost campaign.
The Calorx Olive International School and Lalji Mehrotra Lions School were two of Bittu’s many touching trips, where children welcomed their newest buddy with applause, giggles, and open arms. They had the opportunity to design unique friendship bands for Bittu and individually tie them around his wrist, completing their bond in the most adorable way imaginable. Special Toast Your Dost cards, a clever tribute to all the inner jokes and peculiarities amongst actual friends, added to the festivities. With titles like the Gamer Friend Award, Late Lateef Award, Bhukkad Friend Award, Sporty Friend Award, and more—all lovingly handpicked by Nicktoons—each youngster was able to select an award for their most significant gift. The true purpose of this day was to honour the friends who provide magic to every day.
“What caught my attention was how easily all children connected with Bittu,” stated Ankur Upadhyay, Head of Calorx Olive International School. Having that genuine, face-to-face relationship is crucial in a society where so much is virtual. Seeing the idea of friendship honoured in such a meaningful and entertaining way was a welcome change.
According to Mrs. Ranjana Mandan, principal of Lalji Mehrotra Lions School, Nick and Sonic have always given children happy and meaningful experiences, and this time was no exception. When Bittu arrived, there was an entirely different level of enthusiasm in the room. It was quite touching to see them honour their friends, tie friendship bands, and laugh together in such a straightforward and sincere manner. It was the ideal method to celebrate Friendship Day.
The fundamental tenet of Bittu Bahanebaaz is that everyone possesses a small amount of Bittu! With his sharp mind and boundless imagination, Bittu lives in a world where rules are flexible and creativity leads the way! With Bittu quickly winning hearts across the country, Sonic’s on-ground celebration is now expanding beyond Ahmedabad, with visits planned across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and more, making Bittu’s friendship the one friendship that truly mattered – full of smiles, stories, and a whole lot of love.
