Asia Cup 2025: India vs UAE

India Crushes UAE In A 9-Wicket Win in Asia Cup 2025

India’s first T20 match against the UAE in the Asia Cup 2025 turned into a quick show rather than a real contest. The game finished so fast that fans barely got time to enjoy it. It was the second-fastest match to be completed in the history of T20 Cricket.  It took only 103 balls to complete the whole match.

Match Summary

  • Venue: India vs UAE, T20 International
  • Result: India won by 9 wickets
  • UAE’s Score: All out for 57 runs
  • India’s Score: 60/1 in 4.3 overs
  • Player of the Match: Kuldeep Yadav (4 wickets)

India’s Bowling Attack

India won the toss and Suryakumar Yadav decided to bowl first. His reason was simple: no matches were played on this pitch for three months, so he wanted to see how it would behave. The plan worked perfectly for India, but not for the UAE.

UAE lost their first wicket at 26 runs. Jasprit Bumrah’s yorker broke their confidence, and after that, wickets kept falling. Shivam Dube, who rarely gets to bowl for Chennai, took 3 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav was the star with 4 wickets in just 13 balls, and he gave only 7 runs. Every bowler except Hardik Pandya picked at least one wicket. UAE was all out for only 57 runs.

India’s Quick Chase

Chasing 58, India batted like hungry lions. Abhishek Sharma smashed 10 runs in the first two balls. Even though he got out early, India finished the chase in just 4 overs and 3 balls. They scored 60 runs and won by 9 wickets.

Big Talking Points

  • Fans were excited to see who would play — Sanju Samson was included instead of Jitesh Sharma.
  • Shubman Gill batted with the best strike rate among Indian players, which was a positive sign.
  • The crowd was very small, which is unusual for an Indian international T20.

What This Win Means

This victory was not just against the UAE, but also a strong signal to Pakistan. Last week, the UAE almost defeated Pakistan in a tri-series with Afghanistan. By crushing the UAE, India showed who’s in charge.

Some experts said weaker teams like the UAE should not be in big tournaments as matches become one-sided. Others argued that without chances, these teams will never learn, and this is right. I think every nation has a right to play matches against stronger teams at least in big tournaments such as the Asia Cup.
