Gujarat Chief Secretary Mr M. K. Das Honoured By The Maithil Community

Gujarat Chief Secretary M. K. Das Inspires Maithil Youth To Uphold Culture To Build The Nation

The Maithil community of Gujarat organised a grand “Mithila Honour Conference” on Sunday evening, where Gujarat Government’s Chief Secretary, Mr M. K. Das, IAS, was honoured for his promotion and excellent administrative service. The community gave him a warm traditional Mithila welcome with a dhoti, kurta, shawl, turban, and a bouquet of flowers. All main members of the Maithil Coordination Foundation, Vadodara, took part in this honour.

A large number of Maithil brothers from different parts of Gujarat attended the event, especially representatives from Vadodara, led by Mr P. K. Jha, Mr Vidhan Jha, and Mr Praveen Jha.

While addressing the conference, Mr M. K. Das thanked the Maithil community for their affection and respect. He shared memories from his administrative journey of more than three decades. He explained how, while working in different roles, he brought in new ideas and reforms in the fields of Gujarat’s development, good governance, industrial growth, and social inclusion.

Mr Das said that the foundation of success in public service is transparency, honesty, and responsibility towards people. Sharing his experience, he described how he made strong efforts in industrial policy-making, investment promotion, MSME empowerment, skill development, and administrative reforms.

Remembering his roots, he said that the culture and values of Mithila have always inspired him. The kindness, learning, and unity of the Maithil community have guided his life. He urged young people of the Maithil community to preserve their tradition and identity while contributing to nation-building.
