Tata WPL 2026 Mega Auction
Australia Captain Alyssa Healy Goes UNSOLD. Deepti Sharma sold to UP Warriorz for Rs 3.2 crore in the Tata WPL 2026 Mega Auction
Alyssa Healy went unsold this auction not once but twice; the reason could be that she is not fit and has not played any match in the last WPL season. She has played 17 matches in the WPL for UP Warriorz and, with the help of three half-centuries, she has scored 428 runs.
The surprised unsold player was Alan King, who also went unsold in this auction twice. She has performed quite well in the recently concluded ICC Women’s World Cup on Indian pitches. I am very much surprised no team has picked her.
On the other hand, Deepti Sharma was sold to UP Warriorz for Rs 3.2 crore, Sree Charani was sold to Rs 1.3 crore among India’s 2025 ODI World Cup winning squad
WPL auction 2026: Nine out of the 10 members of India’s World Cup-winning squad found a buyer at the auction held in New Delhi on Thursday.
Deepti Sharma became the second-highest priced player after Smriti at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 auctions in New Delhi on Thursday. The 28-year-old returned to her old franchise after the UP Warriorz used the Right-to-Match card on the player, following Delhi Capitals’ bid of Rs 50 lakh.
Deepti Sharma, who entered the auction at a base price of Rs 50 lakh, was sold to UP Warriorz for Rs 3.2 crores.
She was initially bought by Delhi Capitals (DC) for Rs 50 lakh, but the UP Warriorz opted to use the Right-to-Match (RTM) card. DC valued her at Rs 3.2 crore, and the Warriorz accepted the bid to regain the player in their squad.
Top Buys in This Mega Auction

The Final Squad for each team is as below.
Mumbai Indians

Players to watch in the Mumbai Indians are Amelia Kerr and Nicola Carey. There are a lot of all-rounders in the Mumbai Indians this time, and the squad looks quite balanced. I will give 8.5/10 for this squad.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru

The squad looks quite okay and not good this time as they have focused on all-rounders. The middle order looks quite weak and dicey. Pooja Vastrakar is not fit yet, but if she gets fit, then the middle order will be fine; otherwise, it is going to be difficult for RCB. I will give 7/10 for this squad.
Delhi Capitals

There are many great players in the squad in the form of finishers. Delhi Capitals have a strong batting lineup this time. Good bowling, but unfortunately, I believe they are short of quality spinners. Delhi Management said that they might opt for an Indian Captain this season. So, don’t get surprised if you see Jemimah Rodrigues as the captain of DC. I will give 8/10 for this squad.
UP Warriorz

Very smartly, UP Warriorz have selected the squad in this mega auction. They went in with the highest purse with them, and hence they have invested smartly in their players. Including Mag Lanning and Deepti Sharma. UP Warriorz used RTM and Deepti back in their squad. Deepti is going to be key for UP Warriorz. They also have quality spinners on their side. I will give 9/10 for this squad.
Gujarat Giants

Gujarat Giants managed to do well at the end of the auction. Looks like a balanced side this time. They have Sophie Devine in their squad, which is going to be quite helpful for GG. Gujarat Giants is a team that has not been able to qualify for the playoffs in all their previous seasons, so they surely would like to break the streak this time around, and they have a team this time to do so. I will give 8/10 for this squad.
