ENGIMACH 2025 Sparks Global Trade
ENGIMACH 2025 Ignites Passionate Innovation, Fuels Dream Trade Surge
ENGIMACH 2025 opened in Gandhinagar with strong global interest, confirming Gujarat’s key role in India’s manufacturing story. The organisers expect deals worth around ₹5,000 crore, showing how big trade shows can push real business growth for companies of all sizes.
The event at the Helipad Exhibition Centre is one of Asia’s major industrial fairs, spread over 1,00,000 square metres and drawing crowds from across India and abroad. Such large-scale expos help companies see new machines, compare suppliers, and sign contracts in one place, saving time and money for buyers and sellers.
ENGIMACH has grown steadily since it first started in the mid-1990s, becoming a trusted platform for engineering and machine tool firms. Over 25 years, it has hosted thousands of exhibitors and close to a million visitors, helping manufacturers upgrade technology and expand into new markets.
More than 1,000 exhibitors and over 400 international participants from countries like Germany, Japan, the US, the UK, and South Korea show how global the platform has become. For overseas companies, India is now seen as a reliable base for production, especially as many supply chains are shifting away from a few single-country hubs.
Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi underlined that Gujarat’s industry-first policies and strong infrastructure are helping India move towards becoming a global manufacturing capital. The state has built industrial parks, ports, and freight corridors that make it easier for factories to ship goods quickly to both Indian and foreign markets.
The focus on smart, automated, and sustainable manufacturing fits with India’s wider push to raise productivity and cut costs. Industry 4.0 tools such as sensors, data analytics, and connected machines can help Indian factories produce better-quality goods with less waste and downtime.
This year’s ENGIMACH highlights more than 10,000 products, from advanced machine tools to robotics and digital manufacturing systems that support Industry 4.0. Smart logistics, AI-driven planning, and predictive maintenance systems are being showcased to help companies track goods, plan production, and prevent equipment breakdowns.
The show also pays special attention to green and sustainable engineering solutions, a key priority as industries aim to cut energy use and emissions. Many exhibitors are presenting energy-efficient machines, automation to reduce material waste, and cleaner processes that help companies meet global environmental standards.
The MSME Pavilion is especially important because small and medium enterprises form the backbone of India’s manufacturing sector. By giving MSMEs direct access to global buyers and new technology, ENGIMACH helps them modernise, improve product quality, and join international supply chains.
The Startup Pavilion, with over 50 young companies, shows how fresh ideas are changing factories through robotics, AI, industrial IoT, and deep tech solutions. These startups often provide flexible, low-cost tools, helping traditional manufacturers adopt new technologies without heavy upfront investment.
K&D Communication’s Chairman and Managing Director Kamlesh Gohil noted that ENGIMACH has supported India’s engineering backbone for over three decades. The 17th edition reflects a moment when global supply chains are being rebuilt, giving India, with its large workforce and policy support, a chance to attract more manufacturing investment.
India’s broader economic environment supports this optimism, with GDP growth of 8.2% in the September quarter and manufacturing output rising by 9.1%. Strong growth in sectors like infrastructure, construction goods, and consumer durables points to rising demand for machine tools, automation, and industrial equipment on display at the fair.
KC Sampat of iNDEXTb described ENGIMACH as a vital catalyst for the machinery and tools sector, especially in a changing geopolitical climate. With more global companies looking for stable and diverse sourcing bases, events like ENGIMACH help match foreign buyers with Indian suppliers ready to scale up.
GCCI President Sandeep Engineer stressed that engineering supports every major industry, from automobiles to power and pharma. Gujarat’s role as a “growth engine” of India is visible in the strong presence of local and national firms using ENGIMACH to launch products, build partnerships, and attract investors.
The organisers expect more than 90,000 visitors from key sectors like automotive, aerospace, defence, power, and pharmaceuticals. For these industries, such shows offer a one-stop view of new machines, software, and services needed to upgrade their production lines and stay competitive.
The International Buyer-Seller Meet, with over 100 buyers from African and Asian markets, including Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, and Sri Lanka, adds a strong export angle. These delegations are important because they open doors for Indian manufacturers to sell machinery and components into fast-growing developing economies.
A separate visit by 38 ITEC and EDII delegates from countries like Algeria, Croatia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Vietnam shows how ENGIMACH also serves as a knowledge and training hub. Such exchanges often lead to technical cooperation, skill-building programmes, and joint ventures in engineering and manufacturing.
One of ENGIMACH 2025’s standout features is over 1,000 live-running machines, a first-of-its-kind scale in Asia. Live demos help buyers see performance, accuracy, and reliability in real time, which is crucial before making large capital purchases.
Advisor PK Jha highlighted ENGIMACH as India’s largest machine-tool and manufacturing technology exhibition with more than 400 global buyers and expected business of over ₹5,000 crore. This aligns closely with the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat goals, which aim to raise local production, cut imports, and increase high-value exports.
Three co-located events add depth: the 3rd Castings & Foundries Expo, the 7th India Tools Show, and Startup Summit 2025. Together, they cover the full chain from raw cast parts and tools to finished products and new-age digital solutions, making the venue a complete ecosystem for industrial growth.
The product mix at ENGIMACH includes machine tools, automation systems, robotics, pumps, valves, welding solutions, gears, motors, power tools, safety systems, and logistics technologies. This wide range means that visitors from almost any industrial segment can find solutions to upgrade their plants, improve safety, and boost efficiency.
As India moves towards the $5 trillion economy target, forums like ENGIMACH 2025 become more than just trade shows; they act as platforms to align policy, technology, and investment. By connecting global buyers, Indian manufacturers, startups, and policymakers under one roof, ENGIMACH helps strengthen India’s claim as a rising global manufacturing powerhouse.
