Gujarat’s cooperative leaders have worked like a ‘task force’ to build a strong cooperative structure that is unmatched anywhere else in the country, said Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma.
Today, cooperative institutions of Gujarat are capable of competing at the international level, said Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma.
Gujarat Bharatiya Janata Party State President Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma attended a felicitation ceremony hosted by Sahakar Bharati at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Hall in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad, according to a news release from the BJP Gujarat State Media Department. The occasion was to commemorate 75 years of cooperative leader Shri Jyotindrabhai Mehta’s leadership.
This time, Jyotindrabhai’s personality and achievements in the cooperative sector were commended by Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma. According to him, 75 years represents the essence of a lifetime of experience rather than just a number. According to him, Jyotindra Mama stands for cooperation, ideals, sacrifice, and love. He has consistently tried to serve the last member of society and improve villages by putting Sardar Patel’s cooperative principles into practice. He has spent many years working with nationalist groups like the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. With the resolve of nation-building, he has kept working tirelessly and has truly lived the saying, “If there is a will, there is a way.”
According to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision, villages must become powerful, according to Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma. Cities will grow stronger if villages are robust. Districts will get stronger if cities are strong. Additionally, the nation will grow stronger if its districts are powerful. He lamented the lack of national support for the cooperative movement for over 60 to 65 years following Independence. However, by creating the Ministry of Cooperation at the Centre for the first time and giving Shri Amit Shah responsibility for it, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi gave the cooperative sector a new direction. “Shri Amit Shah is working with clear policies and strong teamwork,” he continued. As a result, under the direction and leadership of Shri Modi and Shri Shah, the cooperative movement has received fresh impetus throughout the nation.
He added that Gujarat has developed a cooperative system that is unparalleled in the nation as a result of its cooperative leaders working like a “task force.” The state’s rural economy has been bolstered in 16,000 villages by the establishment of micro ATMs, the work of bank mitras, and the opening of cooperative institution accounts in cooperative banks. He cited Amul and IFFCO as examples of how Gujarati cooperative institutions can now compete on a global scale.
Shri Amit Shah has introduced “Bharat Taxi,” which would bring about a significant employment revolution, under the direction of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Gujarat’s cooperative sector is making steady progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Finally, on the occasion of Women’s Day, he greeted every woman in attendance.
Former Union Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh West Zone Sanghchalak Dr Jayantilal Bhadesiya, Chairman of IFFCO and GUJCOMASOL Shri Dilipbhai Sanghani, Chairman of GSC Bank Shri Ajaybhai Patel, Director of the Reserve Bank of India Shri Satish Marathe, Sahakar Bharati President Shri Udayji Joshi, Vice President Shri Kantibhai Patel, as well as representatives, well-wishers, office bearers of various cooperative institutions, and cooperative leaders from throughout the state.
