TVS Motor Opens Third Ahmedabad Dealership as Three-Wheeler Demand Grows

TVS Motor Company has opened its third dealership in Ahmedabad, adding a new outlet for its commercial three-wheeler range as demand for such vehicles continues to rise in India.

The authorised dealership, M/s Tirusai Autolink, is located on Vishwakarma College Road in Motera. The facility will sell TVS Motor’s passenger and cargo three-wheelers and provide sales and service support to customers in Ahmedabad and nearby areas.

The opening comes at a time when three-wheelers are seeing stronger sales across the Indian automobile market. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers reported domestic sales of 65,668 three-wheelers in April 2026, up 32.8 per cent from the same month a year earlier. SIAM said April 2026 recorded the highest-ever monthly three-wheeler sales at 66,000 units.

For TVS Motor, the three-wheeler business has also recorded strong growth. The company sold 2.19 lakh three-wheelers in the financial year ended March 2026, compared with 1.35 lakh units in 2024-25. That represents a rise of 63 per cent. Three-wheeler sales in the fourth quarter of FY2025-26 rose 65 per cent to 0.60 lakh units from 0.37 lakh units a year earlier.

The new Motera dealership gives local buyers another point of access to TVS Motor’s commercial mobility range. Its portfolio currently includes passenger models such as the TVS King Deluxe, TVS King Duramax Plus and TVS King EV Max, along with cargo models including the TVS King Kargo and electric and CNG variants.

Three-wheelers serve several parts of the local economy. Passenger models are used for short-distance travel, while cargo vehicles can be used by small traders, delivery operators and other businesses that need to move goods within cities and nearby areas. The growth of delivery services and demand for lower-cost commercial transport has kept this vehicle category important in India’s urban and semi-urban markets.

The Motera outlet is being operated by dealer partner Piyush Kumar Rameshbhai Patel. Rajat Gupta, Business Head, Commercial Mobility Business, TVS Motor Company, attended the inauguration.

The company’s current three-wheeler range reflects a market that is moving beyond conventional petrol-powered passenger autos. TVS Motor lists petrol, CNG, LPG and electric options across its three-wheeler portfolio. Its King EV Max and King Kargo HD EV are part of the electric range, while the King Kargo is available with CNG and petrol-bi-fuel options.

Mr. Gupta added that “the three-wheeler manufacturing capacity is more than 2.40 lakh vehicles a year. It also exports three-wheelers to more than 43 countries. The company traces the TVS King range back to 2008, when it introduced its 200cc three-wheeler. The King Deluxe followed in 2012.”

The company has also been increasing its focus on electric three-wheelers. In April 2026, TVS Motor and Hyundai Motor signed a Joint Development Agreement to develop and commercialise electric three-wheelers for India’s last-mile mobility market and other markets. The two companies said they would combine their engineering capabilities and work on products designed for commercial use.

M. Gupta reported total sales of 58.89 lakh two- and three-wheelers in FY2025-26, compared with 47.44 lakh units in FY2024-25, a 24 per cent increase. Its total three-wheeler sales rose 63 per cent during the same period.

In May 2026, the company reported monthly sales of 5,66,585 units, up 31 per cent from May 2025. Three-wheeler sales also continued to grow during the year, supporting the company’s expanding commercial vehicle business.

In Gujarat, Mr. Gupta said, “it now has 50 dealership touchpoints and 50 service touchpoints. The Ahmedabad expansion adds another location to that network.”

For customers in Motera and surrounding parts of Ahmedabad, the immediate change is practical: a new authorised outlet where they can enquire about TVS passenger and cargo three-wheelers, buy vehicles and access related services. For TVS Motor, the dealership comes as the company reports rising three-wheeler sales and continues to add conventional and electric options to its commercial vehicle range.

The next test will be how quickly the new outlet builds sales and service activity in a city where three-wheelers remain part of everyday passenger and goods transport.
