Adani Green Energy Breaks Records in Clean Power Growth

Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL), India’s biggest company in clean energy, has shown great results for the first three months of the financial year 2026. The company made more electricity, earned more money, and added many new solar and wind energy plants.
AGEL sold 10,479 million units of electricity, which is 42% more than the same time last year. This amount is even more than what the company sold in the full year of 2022.
AGEL made Rs. 3,312 crores from selling power – this is a 31% increase from last year.
The company’s EBITDA (profit before tax and other costs) also went up by 31% to Rs. 3,108 crores.
Cash profit (profit in hand) grew by 25% to Rs. 1,744 crores.
AGEL added 1.6 GW (gigawatts) of new clean energy plants in Q1 FY26 and 4.9 GW in the last 1 year. This helped the company reach 15.8 GW total capacity — the highest in India.
Most of these plants are in Khavda (Gujarat), Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh.
AGEL is building the world’s biggest renewable energy park in Khavda, Gujarat.
This park is spread across 538 sq. km — almost 5 times the size of Paris!
It will have 30 GW of energy by 2029.
Already, 5.6 GW is working.
It uses special solar panels, giant wind turbines, and robot cleaners that don’t use water.
