Adani Vidya Mandir Ahmedabad Sparks Proud CBSE Moment

AVMA Ahmedabad Continues Strong CBSE Tradition with Emotional Success

First-generation learners from Adani Vidya Mandir Ahmedabad (AVMA) have delivered a strong academic performance in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII examinations this year. The school recorded a 100 per cent pass result, placing it far above the national average of 85.2 per cent.

The result is important because education experts across India have noted that this year’s CBSE examinations were tougher than previous years. Reports from several states said students faced stricter evaluation, harder question papers and more focus on analytical thinking. Even with these challenges, AVMA students performed with confidence and consistency.

All 104 students from the school passed the examination. The school achieved an overall average of 82.8 per cent. A total of 22 students scored above 90 per cent, while 67 students secured more than 80 per cent marks. The results reflected steady performance across Science, Commerce and Humanities streams.

Namya Devangbhai Shah became the overall school topper and Commerce stream topper with 97.8 per cent. Vinayak Chetankumar Parmar topped the Science stream with 96.4 per cent, while Purva Dinesh Rathod secured the highest marks in Humanities with 93.4 per cent.

The achievement becomes even more inspiring when seen against the background of the students’ personal journeys. Many of the toppers joined the school in Grade 3 after studying in Gujarati medium schools. Several students come from families involved in tailoring, labour work, small trading businesses and data entry operations.

Education experts often say that students from economically weaker families face extra challenges. Many first-generation learners do not have access to private coaching, quiet study spaces or digital learning tools at home. Despite this, AVMA students proved that regular mentoring and strong school support can help children compete at the highest level.

Namya Shah, whose family is associated with paintbrush trading work, spoke about the role the school played in her growth. She said the school helped shape her dreams and gave her direction and confidence. Her success also reflects a larger trend seen across India, where many girls continue to perform strongly in CBSE examinations. National reports this year again showed girls outperforming boys in Class XII results.

Science topper Vinayak Parmar also joined the school in Grade 3 after studying in a Gujarati medium school. His family is engaged in tailoring work. Humanities topper Purva Rathod comes from a labourer’s family and also made the transition from Gujarati medium studies.

Another high achiever, Parva Sanghvi, scored 97.4 per cent and secured a perfect 100 in Accountancy along with 99 in Business Studies. She said she achieved this without taking private tuition because of the support and guidance provided by the school. Across India, stories of students scoring excellent marks without coaching have drawn attention this year. Many teachers and principals believe disciplined study habits and school mentoring are becoming more important than expensive tuition classes.

The school also recorded excellent subject-wise results. Three students scored 100 out of 100 in Accountancy, while one student achieved full marks in Gujarati. Several students secured 99 marks in Accountancy, Gujarati and Business Studies.

Overall, 86 students earned distinction marks, while another 18 students secured first division results. The results reflect the school’s focus on discipline, mentoring and balanced growth.

Adani Vidya Mandir Ahmedabad was established in 2008 and became the first school in the Adani Vidya Mandir network. Today, similar schools operate in Ahmedabad, Bhadreshwar in Kutch, Surguja in Chhattisgarh and Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

The schools are part of the Adani Foundation’s education work for academically talented students from economically disadvantaged families. According to education and CSR reports, the Foundation provides free education, transport, books, uniforms and meals to students studying in Adani Vidya Mandir schools.

The Foundation has also expanded its work in government schools and skill development projects across India. Recent reports showed that its education initiatives have supported digital classrooms, teacher training and foundational learning programmes for thousands of children.

This year also marks 30 years of the Adani Foundation. Over the years, the organisation has continued to work in education, healthcare, livelihoods and community development.

The strong Class XII performance by AVMA students once again shows how access to quality education can change lives. For many students in the school, this success is not only about marks. It represents confidence, opportunity and a chance to build a brighter future for their families.
