BJP’s Ahmedabad Election 2026 Manifesto

Ahmedabad Municipality Election Manifesto Builds New Hope And Wins Public Attention

The manifesto for the upcoming Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation election 2026 was released at the city office by Cabinet Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel.

According to a press note from the Karnavati city media department, the manifesto was released today at the city office. It was done in the presence of Cabinet Minister and city in-charge Shri Rushikesh Patel, City President Shri Prerakbhai Shah, Election Committee In-charge and former MLA Shri Rakeshbhai Shah, and former Mayor Smt. Pratibhaben Jain, former Deputy Mayor Shri Jatinbhai Patel, and former Standing Committee Chairman Shri Devangbhai Dani.

While speaking at the press conference, Cabinet Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel said that BJP candidates are asking voters for maximum voting support. They are sharing Gujarat’s strong development record and progress. He said that about 96 per cent of the promises from the previous manifesto have been completed. The candidates are going to the people with their report card to seek blessings. The manifesto shows what Ahmedabad was in the past, where it stands today, and where it will go in the future with planned development.

The manifesto includes future plans under the riverfront project, water projects, water supply infrastructure, sewage and storm water planning. It also includes plans to improve drainage lines and stormwater networks in all zones of the city. Under the fire safety plan, steps will be taken to make Ahmedabad safer. For senior citizens, better health services will be provided. Health centres will be upgraded, and new centres will be set up. A modern speciality hospital for cancer treatment is also planned.

Shri Patel further said that an AI-based traffic signal system will be developed across the city to solve traffic problems. Public transport will be improved. The manifesto also aims to make Ahmedabad a completely slum-free city. Around 50,000 houses will be built for this purpose. At present, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is saving about ₹3,000 crore every year by using 43 per cent renewable energy. The goal is to reach 100 per cent in the future by setting up solar energy projects on water bodies. To reduce traffic problems, 17 overbridges and 3 underpasses will be built.

He also said that Ahmedabad is ready to host the Commonwealth Games 2030. Plans include building mini sports complexes and playgrounds in every zone. The current green cover of the city is about 12.5 per cent, and it will be increased to 18 per cent. Urban plantation will be done on both sides of railway lines passing through the city. For small handicraft and traditional product makers, an Ahmedabad Haat will be developed in the eastern part of the city. To support the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, a start-up festival will be organised to encourage start-up culture. E-governance and geo-tagging systems will be improved to provide faster and more transparent services to citizens.

Speaking about cleanliness plans, Shri Patel said that the Pirana dump site will be removed and turned into a beautiful garden. Five new RTS plants will be set up, and about 2,000 metric tonnes of waste will be treated using modern methods. A plant will also be set up to produce CNG from kitchen waste. Existing lakes will be cleaned using smart aerators and fountains.

He also said that to preserve Ahmedabad as a World Heritage City, the Rath Yatra route of Jagannath Temple will be developed as a heritage walk. Heritage gates and nearby areas will be beautified with modern lighting. All schools under the municipal corporation will be turned into smart schools. New English-medium schools will also be started. Considering the growing population, party plots will be built at low cost for social, cultural, and educational events for poor and middle-class people.

Shri Patel also said that health services will be expanded for women by screening for cervical cancer and oral cancer for early treatment. Pink buses will be introduced in the BRTS for women. Pink toilets will be set up in every ward. Women’s gyms will be built in every ward over the next five years. There will be a 33 per cent reservation for women in all corporation recruitments. A special plan will allow senior citizens to enjoy free Ahmedabad tours. Citizens above 65 years will be able to enjoy happy experiences, memories, and social connections.
