Arvind Khushi, founder of Khushi Digital Studio, has photographed over 150 pre-weddings and 450 weddings across India. On 14 September 2025, he served as a Drone Pilot Mentor for the first time at the Lumix Workshop organised by Honest Group.
Born on 6 April 1978 in Longdi village of Mahuva taluka of Bhavnagar district, Arvind Kalathiya comes from a modest rural background. He completed his primary education (standards 1-3) in his village and studied from standard 4-10 in the Sayan suburban area of Surat district. Even after completing his 10th standard, Arvind pursued his passion for creativity and visual arts, gradually making his mark in the field.
Arvind started his career as a photographer in 2006 and ventured into professional photography and videography, which laid a solid foundation for his work. In 2016, after purchasing his first drone, his craft took a new dimension. Since then, he has flown drones at over 150 pre-weddings and over 450 weddings. He has also showcased his art at over 100 premium destination weddings, high-profile commercial projects and industrial documentary events, successfully operating in around 10 Indian states.
A significant milestone came in 2025, when Arvind was selected as a Drone Pilot Mentor, organised by Honest Group and supported by Lumix. His guidance in this workshop was very successful, covering not only drone operations but also pre-wedding song shoots, wedding order management and professional workflow techniques. Following this achievement, he has been officially invited as a mentor for the next two Lumix workshops, establishing his place as both a practitioner and teacher in the field of drone cinematography.
Ashvin Borad, a contributor to the film industry, guided him on creating a digital legacy and creating a social media presence on creating an impressive digital legacy. The venue, catering and other arrangements for the workshop were efficiently managed by Mitul Moradiyaโs team, while the main planning and strategy was handled by Ashish Sindhav (Perfect Click).
From small village bus journeys to flight journeys, they have shot luxurious destination weddings nationally and now internationally, and their journeys exemplify the art of seeing life through a lens, inspired by passion, innovation and a sense of visual storytelling.
