Gau Mata Bill Ignites Hindu Pride
Gau Mata Bill Demands Strong Cow Security And Stirs Hindu Emotions
Amit Chavda, the president of Gujarat Pradesh Congress, has kept the promise he gave to Shankaracharyaji: he has brought a historic Bill in the Assembly to give the mother cow the status of “Royal Mother” and to protect her.
The President of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee and MLA, Shri Amit Chavda, has taken a very important step for the respect and safety of cows in the state. Some time ago, he had attended a meeting in Ahmedabad as an invited guest, in the holy presence of Param Pujya Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Swami Avimukteshwarji. At that time, supporting the “Gau Mata Rashtra Mata” campaign started by the revered Jagadguru Shankaracharyaji, Amit Chavda publicly promised that he would raise his voice in the Assembly for the respect and rights of mother cow and would try to bring the required law. Fulfilling his promise, today he has placed the “Gujarat Rajmata (Status, Protection and Welfare of Gau Mata) Bill, 2025” in the Assembly.

Through this Bill, there is a demand to give the mother cow the respectful and symbolic status of “Royal Mother” in the state. The Bill also says that in every district of the state, special officers should be appointed to watch over the food, shelter and health facilities of the cows. Along with this, there is a proposal that sick or weak cows must be stopped from going to slaughterhouses, and for their welfare, a sum of 100 crore rupees every year should be given from the state budget. Through this Bill, Amit Chavda has stressed the need to create a strong legal system for the protection of all cattle.
Shri Amit Chavda strongly attacked the ruling BJP government and said that the BJP took votes in the name of the mother cow and Sanatan and formed the government, but today cows are the most ignored. He said that under this government, which claims to be devoted to cows, today mother cows are forced to eat plastic and rubbish on the roads. He made a serious charge that in the whole country, the number of cattle slaughter cases and the export of beef has reached a worrying level, which shows the gap between what the BJP says and what it does.
Now that this Bill has been brought in the Assembly, the BJP representatives, who were elected in the name of Sanatan, must prove their moral duty towards the mother cow. If the BJP is truly a protector of cows, then it should support this Bill without any bias and give the mother cow her due rights and respect. By keeping the promise he gave to Shankaracharyaji, Amit Chavda has now openly challenged the BJP on this issue.
